My room is approx 11x9x9ft sealed. Obviously there is variances that prevent exact data, but peoples usual calculations, experiences etc would be appreciated..

well it depends on how well the room is sealed and how many plants are using up the co2 but with a flow meter setting of 5cfm you will need 13 mins run time to get to 1500ppm and a 20# tank will last for 35 hours at that rate.so if you ran co2 4 x a day multiply x 13 mins =56 mins I think so the tank would last 36 to 37 days roughly. here is a great calculator for bottled and propane, just punch in your numbers.peace

so you dont have a sniffer? You are best off with a sniffer & To be honest with you, the water cooled co2 gens are almost as cheap as a bottle and regulator setup and run off propane so you can get a 50lb bottle that will last a whole run. The water cooling eliminates the need for more AC typically associated with a co2 gen. I got into mine with the ice cap on top for $390 or so with the control valve. I have growtronix controlling the whole thing so i had a sniffer before i got The gen. Everyone i know who runs co2 bottles winds up with multiple days where they are too lazy / busy to go fill it & are running unenriched (i know i spent the money to keep my co2 solid @ 1500 ppm while the lights are on).. Especially cuz you cant just run to the 7-11 down the road at 3am when you realize the bitch is empty.

The controller will typically use more co2 because it maintains a constant ppm.i use a simple timer and over shoot to 1600 or so and let it drift down for 2 hour's and then vent room and repeat.

Propane is more easy to find and has more excuses for why you need it to lol.but I recommend you always have 2 tanks either way you go, so no down time.
