@ninja do you find a strong coconut taste with the candy or does the peach take over? I make gummies with my infused coconut oil and they always have an underlying coconut-y flavor that I'd like to not have all the time.

I'd say it's a beautiful balance between the two flavors. You are using unrefined unprocessed virgin coconut oil right? Idk if the type of oil could make a difference.

You could try adding a flavor oil to your gummy recipe. These are all of the ones I have, a lot of cool flavors.

I was looking at them on Amazon last night and then I went down a rabbit hole of healthy mom blogs who make fruit snacks using real juice. The gummies I make use jello as their flavoring so I guess I shouldn't be picky.

Oh you can just use juice with your jello instead of water to add more flavor. Try grape juice. I thought you already were

My gummies are water, jello, infused oil and unflavored gelatin. I've added a squeeze of lemon or lime from time to time. I once added a packet of electrolyte drink mix and that was interesting. Very tart, prob from the citric acid.

Cool, if you want more flavor naturally I would try substituting juice for the water in your recipe. I am pretty sure that you can do that, maybe someone else who has done it will chime in

So I'm no expert, and I'm always open to learning more.
I'm going to introduce some sunflower lecithin into my next batch. I noticed that I had oil pockets inside of the candy on my last batch and I read that this ingredient is a miracle emulsifier, which is something that binds oil and water together in this case, and has the added benefit of aiding digestion of the edible.

Also going to try this stuff that is next to it, just to see how I like the effect in addition to the infused oil.

This combo really killed it... I'm fucked.... I feel like this 4x up the previous effect, the taste is even better. I'm really feeling it... And I was already high when I just ate a piece to try it now

Yes. The plan is to also use that mold for chocolate too.

But I found this place after, and it really has a huge selection of weed themed molds, my lollipop mold is one of theirs.

Do you just pour it over? I always wonder if the little pipette that comes with the molds is worth using. Like how does anyone fill/empty it fast enough or clean it well enough aftereard?

Yeah I tried that, it did not work AT ALL lol... think that's more for liquids like gummies. I tried a spoon, also too slow, so I just dumped it. I don't know how @ninjadip makes them so neat lol... I have a pan with a pour spout, might try that next.

Do not use a pipette used for gummies with hard candy. It will melt, then you will have plastic in your edibles. 300f is no joke.

I pour directly out of pan, but not until it is just the right temp not to go everywhere but still hot enough to make smooth mold shapes.

@TSD try a mold with bigger pieces or wait a bit before pouring. The trick is to stop the pour before you visually see it full, otherwise you will have overfill. I do this and then come back and top off more precisely at the end after filling all the molds 3/4, or about. I don't get it perfect everytime either. If you have kitchen fingers you can play with the hot candy a little once it cools too to make it neater, but please be careful

Just did a another batch tonight.

@TSD I didn't realize it but there is a little trick I do when I'm pouring them that I didn't disclose in the instructions. I hold a spatula under the pour, before it hits the mold, as a kind of guidance or buffer if you will. Pulling it in and out of the flow of hot candy between mold spots. Idk if that makes sense, I'll ask my wife to video me doing that next time.

Thanks Ninjadip!
This recipe was really helpful. I've done a few tweaks as I found the oil was splitting out of my lollies. But this was genuinely the best starting place I could have asked for mine aren't quite as natural as yours as I replaced the water with a cordial reduction and I've added sunflower lecithin too for emulsion. Happy to share the full recipe if you want just wanted to pass on my thanks and leave this here for others to see these are really great. Will upload some pics of test batches tomorrow
