Colloidal Silver - Treated Plant?

I have a friend who found that she had male plants she treated them with colonial silver by adding a teaspoon to the water before feeding. All the male sacks dried up, fell off, and now it is starting to bud is there or female plant. Overall, what does this due to the quality of the buds it produces? Did this treatment really transition it to a female?

Everything I’ve read cautions consumption of a heavy metal treated plant. Although most users spray the suspension directly on the buds your buddy is applying it to soil.
