On my regular seed hunt, I found some "crippy" bud in downtown.

I can't smoke right now for piss test reasons but I can tell you it smells earthly, slightly musky and sweet with a slight hint of pine. I can tell it's been in a few hands and has been slightly compacted but still in good shape. I'm going to go through it later and see if maybe I can find a seed. In the meanwhile it rests in a dark sealed container waiting for it's day of glory! :character0029:

Why is it called crippy bud? Did you get that in Columbia? It kinda has an old school Columbian look to it. It was leafier trim back then but still got you crazy stoned.

Thanks for sharing your weed adventure find. Hope you find some seeds.

Yes Sir, I got it in Colombia. In Colombia, the people use two different terms for weed... Regular and Crippy. Regular is shwag with seeds and crippy is the better grade (which can still have seeds). These are the names they use but I am asking around for one I know and hear of called "Punto Rojo"(Red Point). I'd also like to get some "Santa Marta Gold" and "Colombian Gold".

Hydro is virtually non existent in Colombia. I have not seen one setup or hydro shop.

I hope you get your hands on punto rojo n some CG ,than luckily find a seed or 3

The colombians lines interest me very much and i know the oldtimers just called them by what region they were produced from ,the yellows/gold N reds were many and varing depending where they came from .i understand the crippy is a hybrid of some modern gentics probably mixed with a lumbo but i dont think a pure lumbo of yesteryear .Crippy is a term as i understand for the goods not regs or what might be bricked .

Exactly! :anim_44: Crippy can be anything above reg. For example, I could grow a premium strain like OG Kush, (hydro or soil) and everyone would sell it and call it "Crippy" in Colombia.

When I was young we called everything above reg "Hydro", even though it may not have been hydro. We didn't know any better, we just knew that it was good ass dank. :joint:

After looking closely, this bud is nicely coated with crystals. Lots of the trichomes are missing but many remain. (Sorry for the blurriness, I tried with what I have.)

Thats exactly what Crippy is, i live in bogota, colombia's capital, i have smoked many different kinds of weed like "Corinto", "Crippy", "Punto Rojo", "Mango Biche" and reg or "Cafucha". The Crippy is the powerfull weed that i have smoked, is better above all these other types of weed :p
