@dogznova
the clones,.... when you take your cuts do you just let um run or do you top um once, I noticed the stretch and even though my Yeti f3 fills in or starts too by week 5 I was looking to tighten up the spacing a bit
yours look spot on D,
Hope I can get mine going 1/2 as well
Wicked looking run, diggin on the light set-up

Oh yeah, lots of topping during veg and super cropping when flowering starts..

Plus the red light u see I use for two hours per day during "sun up" helps big time in controlling stretch. Keeps stretch to about half of what it would otherwise be and the red party cfl bulbs stack the bud sites up nicely, It's a win win.

I use 2 hrs of red party cfls then 10 hrs Hps for a 12/12 flowering cycle Without the red "sun up" they will stretch easily an extra foot or so and yes stretch till approx week 5. Now it's about 3.5 weeks of stretch. I use the red party cfls for the first 5 weeks of flowering after that the buds are ready for FULL THROTTLE lol... I then switch out the red party cfl's and put in clear incandescent bulbs. Clear inc's are like pushing the gas pedal all the way down.. Clear inc's are 99% far red, basically all speed..

But yeah thanks.. It's taken me a few to get this system dialed in.

Clear inc's/fr will dust UV A/B ... If your plants could talk, they would say 'don't ever put that UV crap on me again' lol

Clear inc's/Far red correctly does what growers think UV A/B does.. Just sayin

Unfortunately with fr, the grower need to know when to use it.. It just need to be used the second half of flowering, after a fully set bud site. Easy enough.

But anyways UV is part of the blue spectrum, helps grow leaves lol.. Yes there is some speed as well with the UV spectrum but the toxins it gives off to the plant is definitely not worth it by no means..

Now don't get me wrong.. You can't grow a damn thing under clear inc's.. They are only used for speed and speed only and must be combined with an HPS for best results.. But with that speed comes a fuller faster sticker flower as opposed to an HPS by itself.

Live a long healthy life under clear inc's. lol

Stay safe

Yep.. traditional clear inc's.. 100 watters are getting harder to come by..
Below is a spectrum comparison chart.. The bottom chart shows the Red to Far Red that clear inc's put out. Don't bother with the coated ones..

As far as wattage goes.. 1 to 1 is max. Won't do anything after that.. I run 1/2 my HPS wattage.. Clear inc's are hot as hell.. For best results the clear inc's need to be put inside the air cooled hood with the HPS.. I run mine on the outside "hence" only using 1/2 the wattage of my HPS.. It just gets too hot when watt for watt is used outside the hood..

Now as far as how to use them.. There are a few different ways..

Remember this is only for the second half of flowering using clear inc's on a traditional 12/12 flowering setup..

1. 'sun up' only = 2hr on then 10hrs HPS on (the way I currently do it) Least amount of heat.

2. 'sun up' then on while the HPS is on = 1hr on then 11hrs both on (optimum) but heat must be managed.

#2 is the fastest second half indoor flowering lighting setup I've ever used.. Using watt for watt it knocked 5 days off the flowering time on quite a few indica strains.. Only found two sativa strains that went that fast. But for the most part #2 will speed up the process on an average of 3 to 5 days.

As far as potency increase goes.. It varies from strain to strain.. Some strains take to red/far red much better than others.. Under the #2 example I have pushed the THC level on a blueberry dutch passion strain from 21% to a consistent 25%

21% = middle shelf at the med shop and 25% put it towards the top shelf lol.

Yield doesn't change much tho under #1 or #2.

Below is a spectrum chart and a pic of the red cfl's I use the first 5 weeks of flowering to help control stretch and set up good bud sites.

I have used the above 'sun up' schedule #1 and #2 for the first 5 weeks of flowering.

Right now i'm using the #1 schedule for the first and second half of flowering. I just change out bulbs.

Submission update time and man o man I found me a another keeper.
My Moonunit beast pheno of Moondawg.
Greasy with pure fuel nose, tricy dense buds and good looking yield for a seed run. I am thinking one more week then choppy choppy.
