hehe ;)

it goes OK, inbetween rooms at the moment.. starting up a new spot.. prolly will be doing similar techniques but revising a good bit of my old room.

theres 7 yeti F3's being ran again, my choice phenos out of the 30 (i ran them small as to not waste too much space with males and what not)

theyre revegging as i fucked up and forgot to take cuts.. all doing well tho

my "fav" is about the frostiest of them all.. (every pheno is crazy frosty tho) has red stems and is pretty much BLACK its so purple. calyx's are huge

just went in the closet to take another wiff..

the "black" red stem pheno smells like a sour apple jones soda with some nail polish remover and the rest smell of lemons/pinesole

ill post pics in a little bit

once again your the man loompa! i wouldve never had the chance to run out these awesome genes if your bad ass self hadnt put in work on these fine gems

much love

Nice have you ever thought about doing sun up then sun down? Like 1/10/1? I like the method. looks sweet!

Oh yeah i've played around quite a bit.. 'Sun up' focuses on stretch and speed of the daytime and 'sun down' focuses on speed for sleep time..

I find 'sun down' will add to the stretch more times than not if used in the first half of flowering even if it's pure red light.. So I def stick to 'sun up' the first half of flowering with as much pure red light as I can afford to control stretch..

But "Sun down" the second half of flowering.. You bet your ass.. The schedule I use is 2-10-.5 (fr) or 1-11-.5 (fr) from week 5 through week 7.

Then it's 2-10-1 (fr) or 1-11-1 (fr) from week 7 to chop time and that will get me = 50% amber in a quickness lol. So basically I add .5 to 1 hour of fr as a 'sun down' light. Basically I increase the fr as flowering time goes on..

But yeah schedule #1 and #2 both work very well with added (fr) 'sun down' in the second half of flowering.

An LED fr source is kind of expensive. But works the best.

Believe it or not a 75 watt Black incandescent (not a black florescent) light bulb on the other hand is really cheap, but again unfortunately (Hot as Hell) but it's cheap and works good for a fr only bulb.. I only recommend a 1/2 hour of fr @ 'sun down' from week 5 till week 7. Then it can be ramped up for the last 3 weeks. I used 1 hour in the example but I have went as much as 3 hours of 'sun down' fr in the last 3 weeks with good results.

Some strains don't seem to do much after 1 hour, so you will have to check and see if 3 hours is worth the extra electricity. If it's an LED fr bulb.. I would def have no problem going 3 hrs fr 'sun down' the last 3 weeks of flowering. Pop them trichomes like you have never seen lol.

Again these Black inc party bulbs should also be put into your air cooled hood if at all possible. Now if you splurge for a LED fr source. well theres no need to put that bulb in an air cooled hood.. Not much heat coming off an LED fr bulb lol.

But yes playing around with those 3 very inexpensive bulbs (clear inc's, Red party cfl's and Black party inc's) can help you bring out the best in all of your flowers smell taste and most of all potency.. lol

Hope that helped

nice idea bro. That combined with one of those sleep lights

Not sure about the sleep light.. If it's Far Red (fr) then it can be used during the night time (but must be done correctly).. But if that sleep light has any trace of BLUE light in it 530 nm's or lower, don't use it during the night time..It will cause hermies and pull your girls out of flowering and they will start to re-veg..

If it's the Moon lite for reptiles you're talking about.. No, sorry that only replicates the moons colors that we as humans see.. But in reality, the moon gives off mostly fr in it's reflection.. Sure your eyes see it as a whitish bluish color and that what those lights give off.. But trust me your girls don't see the moons reflection that way at all.. They see the moons reflection as fr.. Its nighttime speed for the plants..

Below is a spectrum chart of the moon. As you can see, yes there is a little bit of 530 nm's and below coming of the moons reflection. But it's not strong enough to make it back to earth.. 530 nm's and below are short wavelengths and are easily blocked by dust and water in earth's atmosphere..

But Red and Far Red are long wavelengths and do make it back to earth..

From the spectral chart below you can see the peak spectrum coming off the moons reflection is Far Red (fr) 730 nm. 730 nm is extremely strong. So strong it can penetrate the earth approx 3 inches and help seeds sprout "Hence" plant your seeds before a full moon cycle.. Not just an old farmers wives tale but the truth.. Much better germination rate if seeds are planted a few days before a full moon cycle..

Sorry about the long post..

What are NM's? and FR is far red light yeah? So your saying the moonlight has to be done with far red cfl anyway? This just made me a lil more confused.

My bad..Far Red is 730 nm's it's barely seen by the human eye.. Yes it's red but it's a real fant red..

Moon light is red/far red to the plants but mostly far red.. No need to worry about moonlight, sorry I was just answering the other post..

Far Red (fr) 730nm is what I use for my "sun down' nighttime speed.. Second half of flowering. I use either a Black inc or a LED bulb that is $60 vs $6 for the 75 watt Black party inc lol.

Clear inc's are 'sun up' daytime speed and are mostly red/far red and some blue, yellow and green in much smaller amounts. Used the second half of flowering.

Red party cfl's are 600 nm's through 710 nm's no Far Red (fr). Used to help control stretch and set bud sites. Used as 'sun up' the first half of flowering.

nm's are wavelengths of light.. I.E. Blue has wavelengths (nm's) from 280 ish to 480 ish range then the wavelengths (nm's) start to go in green nm's..

No black cfl's.. Black incodesant party bulbs.. Black cfl's have Zero far red and are worthless.. Black inc's emmett 99.9% far red 730 mn's.

Below is a spectrum chart of a 75 watt black incandescent party bulb. heavy in the 730 nm output.

@dogznova
Thank you,
when this collaboration started everyone was so gung-ho and helpful with sharing and getting some great information and it has not let up, IMHO @loompa hit it right when he said all of us would be winners in one way or another, I dont much concern myself with having the biggest or the greatest plant
what I have won is so much more.... Knowledge, thats mine forever . . . . . I can share and give away and still keep it,
the light spectrum information is a plus the photo periods not just 12/12 but a 11.25/12.75 a 45 min shift dose not seem alot but to a plant, it is a whole galaxy of light....
Thats where I run mine until the end of the 4th week of flower and I will be at 11/13 by the 6th this works 4 me.
the far red spectrum and the low level blues or ultra violets, impact what I have learned . . . .
So thank you DogZ-Man you rock for sharing your Mix.......

Whoww ! Like I have said in other posts, There is art then there is Fine ART, Like @Medusa @JAWS and @waayne to name a few, You are the Deliverer of Dank, The Gooro of Ganja, The Master Candy maker. lol

Yea sometimes I get a bit over the top But the passion is real and so is the Super Loompa Love.

@dogznova how close to the plant tops are the Inc, and Cfl bulbs placed to be effective, and if i read correct 1/1 watt ration is best but .5/1 is efficient? (being inc,cfl/HID) what is the lowest effective level? thanks for all the information!

I use 1/2 the wattage when using clear inc's mostly because the bulbs are mounted outside of my air cooled hood.. If they were inside my hood I could run watt for watt or at least 3/4 of my HPS wattage.. But yes 1/2 wattage is minimum to get good effects IMO.

My buddy has the hood I custom made to fit clear inc's in there.. My current setup has a light mover and a few other obstacles that keep me from getting my hood out of my current tent.. But it's on my bucket list of things to do.. Always something.

My outside mounted clear inc's are approx 12 inches off the tops of the canopy same as my red party cfl's. I just switch between bulbs after 5 weeks of flowering.. My red cfl wattage is also 1/2 of my HPS wattage..

I run a 600w HPS in a 4x4 area on a light mover.

I always run a 75 watt black incandescent party bulb inside my air cooled hood. No matter how I got to get it in there (they run waaay too hot for me to be outside the air cooled hood IMO) especially before bedtime..

Before I spent the $60 on the LED 730 nm bulb. I just stuck the 75 watt black inc bulb in the open end of the air cooled hood and laid it on the glass and kept the exhaust fan on. I use one 75 watt Black inc party bulb per 4x4 area works really well for me..

hope that helps

So your Using a combination of colored bulbs? Or just switching colors for times of harvest?

@Frostynugman
The clear inc's spectrum are extremely fast to the plants internal clock and will cause lots of stretch during the first half of flowering. Stay clear of clear inc's during the first half of flowering. Go all red spectrum 'sun up' during the first half of flowering trust me.

The red party cfl's spectrum 600 nm's-710 nm's is much slower to the plants internal clock and that's why I use red party cfl's the first half of flowering.. A pure red spectrum is the only way to go the first half of flowering and red party cfl's are a cheep way of getting an all red spectrum.. Yes all red LED's are better but cost 3 times as much.

But yes running clear inc's and red party cfl's at the same time will work.

It's just a slower overall spectrum than just clear inc's and will defeat both purposes. Both spectrums are used for dif needs in the flowering cycle.

Pure red is used for controlling stretch and setting bud sites and clear inc's with their extremely high red/far red ratio are use for second half flowering daytime speed.. lol

I know it gets confusing.. Sorry

Couple of quick pics from the all red cfl side. I used two 3 light bathroom set ups from wally world. One on each side of the hood and then jury rigged some clamp-on sockets to the ends of the hood..

Very nice set up
I used the cord and attached a few of the light sockets to that
gunna try it on the next set of Yeti #8 and # 10 Clones I know I can dial her in a bit more and get them node spacing a bit tighter
with the help of the lights and a change in Nitrogen 1st 4 weeks of the flip . . . . .
we shall see
FlyJ

They just screw on , from the Home Deepho LoL

Mix it up
super Loompa Vibes all
