Could use general tips/knowledge

I started this forbidden fruit seed 19 days ago. I have been using natural light (when the suns out) and supplemental lighting (when the sun goes down). Does anyone know why the leaves grew that way? I was thinking it has to be something genetic because the new growth all starts curved like that. Also does anyone have experience growing indoors but not 100% in a tent.
