well my advice would be to fill a first trellis out fully then let them veg into a second one about 6-8" above the first trellis and then flip to 12/12 you can still weave them into the first and second trellis' and each gives support for buds as well as spreading the canopy. the second trellis is really helpful and there are cheap ones you can incorporate into a tent like you have or a grow room or you can craft reusable ones. my main point might've gotten lost in my trellis novella

What up boys! One day away and I'm behind 108 messages. Wtf. Lol

Question for anyone:
I need to buy new nutrients today I'm all out. I'm switching to cns17 from advanced nutrients. I was hoping what I had would last their this run but it didn't.
Has anyone ever had a problem switching mid bloom? It's just brands I'm not going from say synthetic to organic. I'm going to give a nice flush before the switch but want some opinions. I really don't want to buy the AN nutes just for the last 5 weeks of this run

most nutes are the same molecules in different ratios there's only so many ways to skin a cat when it comes to fertilizer, imo you don't need a flush between swaps but i'm a noob. i've never had issues switching between brands for the same type of product - ie complete nute, dry pk boost, silica, soil conditioner, sweetener, calmag/magsulf. if it's all synthetic then absolutely swap whatever brand as long as it's the same type of product

That's what I'm thinking. Didn't think it would be an issue unless changing completely what type of nutrients you're using. Im in coco feeding 3 times a day so I'm gonna run a low ec thru one feed before I switch also just cuz it could use it anyway. Not going to do a full flush.

damn 3 times a day that's intense hope it's automated lol. but yeah like i said i have before and continue to swap between brands as my needs change just read the bottle and it'll list what it's derived from- like my FloraNova bloom is Ammonium Molybdate, Ammonium Phosphate, Calcium Nitrate, Cobalt Sulfate, Copper EDTA, Iron DTPA, Iron EDTA, Magnesium Sulfate, Manganese EDTA, etc etc etc etc. they're all water soluble and available to plants and produced industrially, i'll say pretty much every major fertilizer company includes the same molecules in different ratios in the same type of products. again there's only so many ways to skin a cat when it comes to fertilizers

i've yet to have a plant stretch as much as i thought it would. is the canopy 12" deep across the whole canopy already? i'm loving having a 24" deep canopy with this run and my first one had about 20" both sans trellis and at the same stage in flower (post stretch, mid-late-final flower). the second one with the scrog i flipped when it had almost stretched into the single trellis and it barely finished filling the trellis at an even 6-8" deep canopy which i think is way too sparse. by the end of bloom it looked pretty barren

the scrog is great for stretching the plants don't get me wrong just make sure the canopy is deep enough after stretching it into a single trellis, in my experience i didn't allow it to fill into the trellis enough

that'll probably be fine, i'm just pontificating on my experience. if you can veg them longer let them fill in completely, another few days in veg to fill out the canopy would be a great investment

Ya it's automated. Lol. I couldn't hand feed 3 times a day. Lol. Couldn't even handle once a day that's why I set up the drip. Lol.
Ya I'm gonna keep all the ratios the same and try to change as little as possible. I don't see any problems coming from it.

also if you're still in veg i'd highly recommend adding a second trellis about 6-8" above your first one and stretch them into both. it'd really help out i wish i'd done it on my first scrog grow and next scrog i'm 100% going to get at least 2 trellis'

You know what bro I think I'm going to let them go.
Next time though I will wait a little longer after I trellis them. Now I feel like I am going to do more harm then good.

The stretch is on and crackin. Haha. I took the top two fans of the main cola on the in ground and the 4 main colas on the Coco just to see how they react. Try to let the lowers catch up a little. Obviously not for lighting but to round them out a bit and keep them below the fence line

btw Polar,,, lololol,
you are about 5th in line of ppl me and Wisher had this exact convo on with Coco..It can be frustrating! esp if your new to your nutes esp! But like I sad we talk about that down the road.. The fact that your girls are doing good is a testament to you adapting to their needs..
I think the last guy was @dan1989 we had a coco revival with... Eh Dan lol?
Good ole Dan,
took him a few days to talk to us afterwards,
but once he calmed down and did his own research,
he got a hold of us and said,
I be damn you boys was right,,,
And he has been preaching the gospel ever since :)

What's done is done sometimes the best way to learn is the hard way. Yeah I got ripped apart pretty quickly but it's a lesson you don't forget lol. On a serious note, the lesson I did learn is research your stuff before you go along with any crap someone tells you. And don't give people advice without making sure you know what you're talking about. @EventHorizan spotted my misinformed dialogue immediately and I will be forever grateful to him, and his medal is being processed and shall be posted from China shortly :D

Seriously though, don't use plain water on coco until flushing time.
