Im pretty happy with my 3 gal. If they were hard pots I could see using 1 gal but with the smart pots I was able to water every day. I could have fed twice a day and been fine. But....I do have a ton of 1 gal pots for when I move to dtw auto feed. You gotta give this slow newb a chance to transition lol.you need 1 gal pots...

once all plants are equal in hight then do all at once until all branches are equal canopy
then flip immediately
