Killerchef your friend is lucky, my answer to the police would be no it's not dried, it's in the process and not usable under the law. However they wouldn't have gotten inside my house without a warrant, I would have asked them if they have probable cause to enter my home after showing them my card, I would have asked if I was being detained as I would like to shut the door and go back to exercising my pursuits of happiness and liberty. What they did to your friend by weaseling their way into him INVITING them in, could have been the equivalent of what officers in New York use to do telling people to turn out their pockets to nail them for public display. He is lucky indeed as most who are arrested are for overages, to many plants and not keeping it under lock and key.
He is lucky indeed that they just wanted to smoke or sell his shit, but they may be back for more.
Oldskool, the question I would have is if someone mixed their own nutes, had an electric bill for a 3000 foot home with a pool of just over $300.00 a month and had plants able to harvest in 7-8 weeks of flower, would Affirmative defense be able to be used. Particularly since the feds have warned us all they will Raid dispensaries and there has now been a shooting in one of them. Under those circumstances would affirmative defense protect a patient grower who does not want to risk or cant afford (due to such a cost efficient grow) to obtain un-interupted supply of medication from a dispensary?
