Wish I could send a little of our clear skies your way. Honestly, I can't remember a better pre-summer week than this last one. Our nights have been a bit chilly, going down to 45, but the days have warmed to 75-80. It's very unusual for us. I'm still bringing the Auto babies in at night to help stave off stunting, but you never know with those girls.Well it's been cold, rainy gloomy for the last 5 days here. My 4 have been outside since the 25th so 5days and half the time they spent under my patio cause of the windy rain. Not much growth yet LOL. We may have sunny skies next week i hope. At least my indoor tent plants are having a good time, I'm gonna miss seeing flowering plants till fall for outdoors when i harvest in about 3wks.
I used jiffy pots once, had similar results. The wrap was still intact as well. I quit using jiffy pots after that and just switched to small, 4 inch pots to start my seedlings.Worked on the extras dirt plot and found a couple of Jiffy pellets from last year. Thought the wrap was supposed to decompose.
Guess I'll have to strip it off if I use them again.

I thought they dissovled also in the soil? I don't use them just some small 2x2 dirt cups.Worked on the extras dirt plot and found a couple of Jiffy pellets from last year. Thought the wrap was supposed to decompose.
Guess I'll have to strip it off if I use them again.

I do have a couple in the tent that I'm hoping to keep there until June 20, but it depends how hot the house gets. If we have to turn the AC on, the lights go off. Even now if I leave the bed/grow room door closed temp. ramps up towards 90 until I open the windows.Bummer! I know you’re out of room and have your hands full already, but I wonder if you kept a couple under the lights and put them out after the solstice if they would stay in flower? Just for the sake of science and humanity!
even though they are in bags and roots can air prune, they likely started flowering from them sensing the roots becoming root bound,..And I think I'll have to trash my tall girls.Saw flowers starting on all.
Started them on Feb. 11 which makes them almost 4 months old. I think the fact I reduced the lights a little each week, combined with their age triggered flowering. But it's just a guess.

Thanks GNick, yes them being root bound did not help. I gradually cut down the time once or twice a week, approx. 10mins. each time. They are still at 15hrs. 20mins. on, 8hrs. 40mins. off.even though they are in bags and roots can air prune, they likely started flowering from them sensing the roots becoming root bound,..
unless your at 14 hours or less of light than that will trigger flowering also,.
if you went from 18/6 to 15/9 in 2 weeks time give or take that can also start the flowering process especially being root bound,..
seedlings all through veg should be 16/8,..
Shit now i'm scared LOL hope mine won't flowerThanks GNick, yes them being root bound did not help. I gradually cut down the time once or twice a week, approx. 10mins. each time. They are still at 15hrs. 20mins. on, 8hrs. 40mins. off.
Anyways, one more lesson learned. Don't start too early. (Oldchucky's gonna love that. LOL)
I wouldn’t just trash them! I would find a semi sheltered place out along the garage where the wind doesn’t hit so bad! And throw some water on them every once in a while! Make them die a long torturous, lingering death! That’s half the fun of it!Thanks GNick, yes them being root bound did not help. I thought we already learned this lesson a couple years ago ??Thanks GNick, yes them being root bound did not help. I gradually cut down the time once or twice a week, approx. 10mins. each time. They are still at 15hrs. 20mins. on, 8hrs. 40mins. off.

Yeah .. weather a bit like normal. Past few it just switches to dog days of summer and no rain. That's my worry. No rain now. Already had to turn the hose on um yesterdayWish I could send a little of our clear skies your way. Honestly, I can't remember a better pre-summer week than this last one. The starting early had a rational, really. LOLI thought we already learned this lesson a couple years ago ??
Love it when someone sits down and starts thinking, what if! I wonder? And then acts upon it and lives with the results! Admittedly, I was questioning your motive for doing it! But now that you’ve cleared that up, you go, girl! You haven’t failed till you quit trying! The starting early had a rational, really. LOL
I was going to take clones, then flower the mothers to figure out female from male and then trash the males. It would have worked, if I had better success with the cloning. Being it was my first time.....
Thanks Oldchucky, I'll keep trying and showing the results on the off chance it'll help someone else.Love it when someone sits down and starts thinking, what if! I wonder? I started some tomatoes in rockwool one year. That didn’t work out to well. I still see some from time to timeWorked on the extras dirt plot and found a couple of Jiffy pellets from last year. Thought the wrap was supposed to decompose.
