I'm looking to hang my LED fixture without putting holes in the ceiling drywall. I was thinking something along the lines of the poles used inside a grow tent without the tent portion itself but I'm having trouble locating the poles and connectors.
Something similar to this powered light lifter setup is what I'm conceptualizing but unsure where to start with the bars.
Have any of you designed your own system like this? Have any input on where I should look to start designing something along these lines?
I had considered getting a completed growtent, but I'm creating a custom RDWC system and don't know that it'll fit properly in the tents, and don't want to design my system to accommodate a tent.
Cross members to walls. I would recommend getting pvc caps and screw those in to the walls as anchors to put the curtain rod ends in to so the rod doesn’t slip on the wall. You don’t want a light hood to come crashing down. Ask me how I know.
just find a joist in the ceiling and screw in an eye hook (not a tiny one). just end up with 2 small holes that can be patched with spackling. then you can suspend anything you want (like a loop to slide a curtain rod into, or any way youd like to do it.)
if you make a frame, same process. four uprights, eight cross. then corner bracing - small pieces in corners cut at 45s. then put bars across. you can get fancy and cut ovals in the top frame and then you can slide each end into the dip that makes on each side. use curtain rods for bars across
