Crystalline silica( glass shards) in soil??

So maybe I'm just overthinking this but I grow in fox farm ocean forest and noticed what looks like glass shards in the soil, im under the assumption this is crystalline silicon, used as a ph stabilizer. The question is can plants uptake these tiny glass particles because I made some rosin from some bud grown in the same soil and when I dab it with my titanium nail im getting them same little fragments left over in my nail... Hope not maybe some of you scientist could correct me but from what I was reading silicon in fragmented form like that is horrible for human from what ive read and can lead to silicosis amd or csncer and I'll have to pass on that
