Most cigar humidifiers for small storage is passive; propylene glycol (PG) and water.
You can find the ratios of PG to Water for different humidity levels are on line.
For a 60% RH the ratio is 71% PG to 29% water By weight. If you find you need to adjust please use a scale to measure your PG/Water additions so you know your recipe. Record keeping is a key to success. Increasing water ratio increases humidity.
I have a lot of the little condiment plastic containers so I use them. Hard to drill the lids!
The medium to hold the liquid is Aqua Foam, Floral foam etc. it’s not really necessary to use that But it stops spilling.
If after time the foam starts drying out that is water loss. Carefully add water And measure RH in an hour+.
