We knew it but our budget was too low to buy a serious led. We programmed some low stress to keep them far from the lamp.Would be doing some lst. And LED would be much better suited they run much cooler and can be much closer to the plants but not cheap.
Agree led or cfl would be better choice
What do you think about feeding and watering?Agree led or cfl would be better choice
Thats not much water. How often do you water and how big are the pots?We are feeding with biobizz, in particular only with bio grow, with a ratio of 0,5 ml per liter and watering with 1,5 Lt of water mixed with fertilizer. Consider we use 1,5 liter in total for 6 plats so 0,25 liter per plant.
Then we wet (a bit) the soil with some untreated water.
The ph of the water we are using is around 6.7
light/heat stress, probably the start of light stress..Hi,
My friends and I decided to buy a small growbox two months ago and we started growing 6 Blue cheese automatic.
The growbox is 150x60x120, light is a hps 250w agro and there's a fan inside the box and one for intake and another for extraction.
We planted about a month ago in a soil composed by Coco fiber, Perlite, Clay Balls and organic soil.
At start everything was fine, every plant comes out of the seed. Than we discovered that we can't close the growbox because when we did it, temperature rose to 29°c... Amen, we are still keeping it open..
Then after 2 weeks one plant seems to have same trouble with one leaves as you can see in the short video.
What's going on?
Other plants started to curling up... Please help me.
You might be overfeeding them, as you said they are in an organic soil, which usually translates into something with a considerable amount of nutes, organic most likely, in it. When you add other fertilizers and stuff, it can react in the soil and lock out the nutrients you are trying to provide. They DO look like they have a touch of light burn, but roughly 2 ft away for a smaller bulb shouldn't fry them IMO. When plants are very small and don't have great root systems yet, adding nutes isn't always a good idea although most newer growers don't see it that way. Anyhow, that is my opinion, since most problems are nutrient related. We are feeding with biobizz, in particular only with bio grow, with a ratio of 0,5 ml per liter and watering with 1,5 Lt of water mixed with fertilizer. They have 8 liter of soil for each one. We were the twice a day but the total water is what I've told you before.Thats not much water. How often do you water and how big are the pots?
IMO you are watering too little too often. 8l of soil, depending on mix, needs about 2l of water and allowed to dry several days. Water to runoff and wait for the container to lose almost 2kg before watering again. They have 8 liter of soil for each one. We were the twice a day but the total water is what I've told you before.
Agree 100%. Few things could use small adjustments but this is key.IMO you are watering too little too often. 8l of soil, depending on mix, needs about 2l of water and allowed to dry several days. Water to runoff and wait for the container to lose almost 2kg before watering again.
Agree, i'll add that hps is probably the worst light you can put on seedlings. MH, CFL, or LED are all better the first 2-3 weeks.Agree 100%. Few things could use small adjustments but this is key.
Ok, thanks that's help full, because we were always worried about overwatering.IMO you are watering too little too often. 8l of soil, depending on mix, needs about 2l of water and allowed to dry several days. Water to runoff and wait for the container to lose almost 2kg before watering again.

I've tried, my hands doesn't get too hot, I suppose...You could check the temperature the old school way; hold the back of your hand at the height of the top of the plants for 30 seconds and feel how hot your hand gets, that's what the plant feels all the time
I would say give en a few days to respond to the changes you made like @GNick55 said. Here's some other photo of the situation.
We decided to follow your advice about watering.
Do you think is there something else I can do to solve the curling problem?
When they start to recover, gradually lower that light to 45cmHere's some other photo of the situation.

We try to lower temperature but we decided just to try with our lamp.I would say give en a few days to respond to the changes you made like @GNick55 said.
yep a little heat/light stress, try to get it dialed in better. otherwise looks good!!We try to lower temperature but we decided just to try with our lamp.
Now they are 40 cm high
Now temperature is always between 26 and 28.5 c°
You can see the photos, they are suffering cause of heating... We planted them 4 weeks ago, so 4 weeks left.

Looks like shes getting hungry. Plants with good light need lots of food. Might want to increase humidity too.
