read some info on here bro or just buy jiffys or rockwool an a propagator an some rooting gel/liquid unless u wanna go down the machine route
peace ts
u can grab 1 for a few quid/dolla bro local b&q/homedepot you could get everything needed for taking cutts for under £20
propagator
jiffys/rockwool
rooting gel people use alot more or less equipment to root but thats just me an works a+ for me
peace ts
Jiffy pucks ... cut your clones, dip in hormone if you have it and push into hydrated pucks.
A cheap propagator tray with clear lid and your good to go.
I have done em without the lid successfully, but get better ratios with. one.
Cheers
I suggest you can clone two from the bottom of each plant before the flowering stage. better lable them before clone, so that the variety can be identified, also the no of days has to be calculated. The cutting has to be done with a clean new blade, and keep a a water bowl to root it, so just dip it in to water which i do for clone.
New blade means a clean one....
with out any dirt in the blade
It seems Like a few more of my clones are standing back up. I think I may look into purchasing a heat mat in order to keep the plants around 75. my tent is temp regulated but my mothers and clones live outside where it is normally around 69-70Usually mine look a little wilted for the first 5 days... keep the rooting area wet, and maybe a little warm, like 75 deg F if possible, and keep the humidity high. After they start to perk up, let the rooting area dry out a bit... and he roots will come in search of moisture.
Don't take this the wrong way friend, but I just want to tell you that I have searched this topic on the farm and have discovered alot of helpful tips and how to's when it comes to cloning. There are some really great discussions on this topic, and I suggest you keep looking for them, since it is your first time, cloning is cool in a way that you can try so many different ways to get roots. Example; all plants that I'm growing were cloned off of plants 5 plus weeks into flower. And they are the best clones I have ever had. Did you only dip RW in water or did you soak RW in 5.5 water. Ph in RW is a bit jumpy on the high 7.0 side. Next time you water your RW, test the PH before and then the run off. Hope your babies give roots, first time is a great feeling. Peace.
Did you test the Ph of the water they soaked in and if so, how long did they soak? I struggled with RW for some time because I only had a PH tester(vile-3-5 drops tester). I knew it would go high so I would pH it low, 5.5, 4.5, 6.0, Im sure, although those testers suck. And when I did get lucky enough to have the piss yellow color(6.0) after 24 hours soaking, the first few floods would put my resi back in the dark green/blue(7.5) and I was just pumping PH down after all my floods. I was then told that soaking your RW at exactly 5.0, and not .1 off would neutralize it for good, and good from the first flood on. So I went and bought a PH pen and no bullSh&^, spot on was that tip for me. I would let the RW soak for days sometimes and it would still be all good. Been a long time since I did try it at 5.1 or 5.2 and Im thinking it did not work for me, just too long to say 100%, but 100% I am of 4.9 or lower being not good at all. It sends the PH up way up and creates a struggle to get the RW PH settled in like no other number. (remember, my experience). Okay, to cloning flowering plants, sorry bout the rambling but a friend of mine brought me a beer made of bud,(which I have never had or even heard of, and WOW, I'm way ripped, first time as a kid ripped). I had no desire to change any of my clone methods for they worked, but happen to stumble across a cloning thread here a few weeks ago. Honestly, cloning from a flowering plant could only be done within 5 days of flip. Or so I was told, what a wise tale that was. The thread was not that one but intersting enough to put me on the lets improve my clones mission. I think it was day 35 or day 40 and buds were all over. i wanted to cut some lower branches, and was lucky to find the info before I did. Didn't really believe I would get it first time, and didn't put a great effort into the few weeks after. They never lost their green(clones from my mothers always had some with yellowing. Was like they were so much stronger and were unfazed by anything. And they are 2-3 times taller than my other with stalks bigger too.And the roots blew me away. Now they are in 4x4x4 RW and have yet to shake the bud on them and start new growth but getting them intense light is not an option, but will be starting tomorrow. I cannot wait and my gut tells me that I will be applying this method all the time for my garden in the future. This is a pure guess, but I honestly would bet that you could clone her on day 69. She just never stops blowing my mind with her limitless abilities. If I can just land this camera soon, I would love to show somebody them. Sorry for all this writng again, been cutting down one of the best OG's I have ever brought to fruit and that and the hemp beer has Mr.Newcastle on big Cloud9.Thanx for the advice Newcastle. I checked around and Sub'd to a few great cloning/breeding threads
I did soak the RW in 5.5 Ph adjusted water before. I try to never use runoff water without putting it through my small boy filter first.
How are you able to take a clone during flowering?
Whats the latest week you can take clones ?
Also try a beer called "Pranqster". Its a belgium style that is a bit higher Alc/content then normal and its amazing. If you hve any Bev-Mo's they carry it.

Oh, and thank you for the beer you suggested, I will be at Bev-Mo's Friday picking it up. I'll let you know when I'm twisting its cap. Peace.
This technique, basically revegging your clones, SEEMS like it causes genetic drift. You may not see it the first go round, but long term the plants will be different than the origianls. I wouldn't take clones off a flowering plant more than 2 weeks into flower.... even three weeks, I had failure in getting them to revert to a usable form.
My personal experience, I am sure someone will chime in and tell me about how they re-vegged a plant at 12 wks, and now it's their mother....
