Hey Folks...

I have read and googled all I can find about Bud Rot. I am about to the point of not growing anymore. I am unable to grow indoors. I can go and shake off the morning dew and maybe after a rain but going out everyday with a leaf blower is just not feasible. I don't try and grow a bunch of limbs per plant. I don't need that much so I can keep it well ventilated by only growing 8 limbs or so. Last year I tried spraying 50/50 peroxide water every Monday. Didn't make a bit of difference. My wife has suggested something she grew up using on her farm..... in the early 1900's. Its called Neutral Copper. Anyone ever use this.
I'll take any and all suggestions or input...

Mountains of TN. Humidity can be wicked during the summer. My personal favorite is called Watermelon Skitzzle. It makes you really think. I took a few drops and built my wife a chicken coup with gun turret and moat. I grow 3 different plants every year. The other 2 are OG Kush and Sour Diesel.

I'm in N E Ohio.( Outdoor grower ) Growing plants with big dense colas, is just asking for rot up here. We see a lot of high humidity also, specially during late flower.

My research led mainly to mostly indica, and hybrids there of, with short flowering times.

Humboldt dream is supposed to be very resilient, and one on my radar to grow, as well as Seed connect's, Grandmommy Purple. Supposedly mold, pest, and climate tolerant, just to name a couple, if your growing from seed.

AI can even give u a list for your location to do research on.

Haven't heard of the neutral copper product but copper is a natural fungicide/algaecide. If you make a hoop house out of PVC over them it'll keep the rain off and it'll help against the overnight RH spikes. Not helpful if you're in a wind prone area like me.

I used to spend summers in Cookeville at my uncle's farm. Yes I can relate to the nasty humid days when tobacco was harvested. Only suggestion is to cover it some how. And perhaps grow shorter season strains.

Thank You for your help. I wanted to go with Grandmommy purple. I looked great. Some suggests I do a shorter grow time which I assume means buying Autoflowering seeds. I didn't see a option for auto on the Seeds Connects for that strain. I usually buy from Seedsman and they didn't offer it. at all. Seedsman has Humboldt Dream in auto so I am going to try that. This is my last shot at growing. I have gotten bud rot every year and its depressing to say the least. I have to harvest weeks early.
I had also emails emailed Seedsman about their suggestions for rot resistant strains and they sent me a very long list. I'll go with just the Humboldt.

I always read the info they give with the strains.
There's some photos that have a shorter flowing time, or u can search " fast flower" strains instead of autos, then look at their resistance to mold, fungus, bugs, ect.

I've been researching strains for weeks now, thru different seed banks. Seed connect, Humboldt, Homegrown cannabis Co., and Zamnesia. All have things I want, but it looks like Zamnesia might get an order from me. If I can make up my mind.😵‍💫

Etc., etc., etc.!

I grow indoors during winter and early spring in NE Ohio. Easier to dry in winter to boot. I never had bud rot, i grow enough to last me a full year. i never allow the humidity to go above 55%

I deal with some pretty crazy humidity here in Missouri I have found that the more old school stuff deals better than the newer strains in high heat picking the right one for your climate is a big deal look for stuff from coastal climates with high humidity even if you in the mountains lol

I grow Dutch passion mostly. Older strains and the mold is manageable. You’re gonna get bud rot, no questions asked. You have to keep after it. My garden is 1/2 mile from a bay, the ocean on the other side of the bay, humid is an understatement. Those new school double back flip strains ain’t for me. Just started some stuff a guy has been growing for 30 yrs in the same place. Plants self seed, he thins em out and that’s it. Cycle never ends. It did pretty well with bud rot. This will be the third years I’ve grown it, smells unlike anything I’ve ever grown. I’ll see how it does this year.

May I ask how you keep at it? I tried peroxide/water spaying once a week. Didn't seem to help at all.

I just keep vigilant, check it constantly. Pluck off any rot I come across. I never spray anything for bud rot. It a airborne pathogen, when conditions are right, it shows up

i manage it with 50% strength isopropyl, if it’s a itty bitty tiny mold spot than i spray the spot and area around it, if it’s bigger than i’ll cut out and than spray the area,.
just because there’s a few spots of bud rot does not mean the whole plant is garbage,.
plant health is number one in preventing pests, disease, etc,. you say your cutting limbs??
your probably dealing with a combination of crappy new modern genetics, over stressed plants and possibly incorrect feeding,.. i or we would have to see your grow while it’s growing to figure out why,..

You might be interested in Kalini Asia, from Zamnesia.

It's mold, disease, pest, and stress resistant. And it's a purple producer
Zamnesia seeds kalini asia feminized

Smoking copper dioxide is a super bad idea.you think you will wash it all off but will you?

Try some strains that are more fluffy and train defoliate more or try an auto strain and avoid the bad weather
