watch this, learn how to test your soil like a pro, understand how Microbes, Humus, CO2 and water play a pivotal role in the mineralization of essential plant food, from the parent material, media. Learn how you might measure CO2 in your own systems to determine the fundamentals of nutrient deficiency and so nutrient application efficiency

im kinda confused with the chips @Ecompost ive seen many benifits, but dont understand the value of it when it takes so long to break down and then benifit the garden,i do see it does keep the soil from drying out as much and the life that is under it,i think what confuses me is if i want to move a bed or throw something just off the wall out in the garden, the movability of it,if you arent feeding the soil as you do with your main beds were does it get is life ,is it from the surrounding mychorizae from the trees and beds them self or are you feeding the chips as you do with the garden,so i guess what im trying to say is do you water your garden over head by sprinklers till it get established, see im under the impression watering over head and the sun does the same thing as your plants with a splash in the tent,,this is a major curve inmy method of growing, every time i foiler spray no matter what item or product, with lights off or under clouded sky,i always have burns, dont know if it is from strength of products or uv rays ,but sure as shit i foler and i have burned leaves,i just dont get that end of it,,something else about this video confuses me is the use of meat products, seems it would be ramped with ecoli

the chips help the long term sustainability of the compost, they can slow the other inputs to help make the pile less susceptible to leaching. Its great food for soil fungus, fungus are still the primary decayers in our systems. Chips encourage fungal mass.
The meat is from his own farm. i guess he knows his cattle is free of ecoli, but we cant get rid of ecoli, it is omnipresent. The key is the diversity of life in his piles, this controls the spread of ecoli. Some new products, Harpin Proteins, are manufactured from the secondary compounds secreted by ecoli for example, and used to boost plant defense from root pathogens.
We dont know enough about how wild ecoli might be used in a system to help up regulate plant defense and if this benefit to plant, is a function that allows it to spread its primary function with more success to higher plant consuming organisms.

I still have two WB beans here mate. i will drop them in Feb for going out end of March. They will run in the tunnel for the first two months to add the extra light and avoid a potential storm or three early in the year.

we are getting a frost in the morning, but day temps are still up to 18c and bright sunshine. no snow here but may be on the mountains inland a bit.
The people are late with the paperwork and its a holiday today and friday so i am still stuck waiting on this darn fence. I have all the bits and energy, just not the paperwork from the local mafia, I mean council :-)

pretty much understand that, are mafia is called farmers market, lol same shit,,you still hanging fence,,i tell ya bro, with what you have at stake,i would foot that extra cost, this way,i used hog wire or field fence i call it,heavy gauge, put take roll out and bending it smooth in half, hard as hell but the work will pay off, bend that bitch in half long way, stand the one half to fence and attach, then cover the other side of it with dirt about ft deep, after you level it out hang your main fence right over it,gives you twice as much protection on bottom, and when they try to dig under, they meet the fence,,now a hog cant get shot smooth in the head in a trap and still run out the back side of it,but has to be in fear of its life, with your fence under the dirt he is just hungry, when he go to try and dig that wire up,be too much work, but if your shooting at him he can go right threw any wire and the bastards can climb,so height dont really matter,,when they dig that wire it tear them legs up and they move on ,i do this with my dogs, them pads will only get tore up one time and they wont dig by no fence again
