What's up guys. I'm looking for some first hand experiences with dry yield per SQ FT of space using 1000w DE lights. Please comment with strain, plant count and veg time. Preferably I'd like to here from guy running smaller grows with 1-4 lights.

-Thanks

Here is the thing.
All that matters is z per/sqft. Mine is 1.15-1.29
It is all in technique. High yeild comes from very hard work and common scene. Less is more!
Less trees = more period
Vertical cylinder has more sqft you gotta light the whole circumference and vertical. With the next year or so i will hit 2z per sqft. Take all your limitations and fix them first. If you cant fix it make it work to your advantage.
If more ppl worked more on sqft measures than gpw there yeilds would dbl. Getting real down and dirty is thinking about cuft per z. That is when the gears start turning way hard. optomization. Think about that 1;)

I know good and well what it takes to yield well. With all do respect that entire post is completely irrelevant and has nothing to do with what I asked. I don't care about vertical or your opinion on how to measure my results. Please refrain from commenting if you have no first hand experience in what I'm asking.

I did. Couldn't find what I was looking for. How about you Post a link rather than the generic "use the search function"

K, Hows this
Mine is 1.15-1.29
Amount of lights don't matter
Strain don't matter
Veg time don't matter

If you're limited on power consumption or stealthiness then maximizing yield per sq ft or cu ft isn't too helpful. I could build out a 4x8 sealed room spend many thousands of dollars, have 4kw worth of light in said space and get the yield per sq ft up. But many people don't care for such a build they rather get the most yield for their power consumption.

Finally someone knows how to measure productivity. The place I'm headed to shortly does ~2/3oz branch per 6x6 trellis square.

Nice bro! At 128 6x6 squares in a 4x8 tent one could conceivably produce 85 oz! Can we get more details on said grow? Muchos gracias

So curious why yeild per ft is SO much better than lbs per light? As knowone here is reinventing the wheel as far as light spread goes? I mean let's be real here the average gavita user is goin to be using 25sqft per light. And those numbers are more easily manipulated: obviously someone with 1000watt over 10sqft is going to yeild more per sqft than someone with 1000watt over 50 sqft however, the guy with 5x the canopy space will out yeild him in the per light.

That would be tough to scale down to a tent, it's a warehouse divided into 12 light rooms. Solid variety and been working with it a while. Simple methods just lots of attention to detail. I've never tried DE in a tent, sounds tricky.

When I'm trying to grow more I always run out of space. I never run out of lights, etc. Saving electricity is way down the list of priorities :blackalien:

Ya a warehouse grow is much different than a stealth home setup.

I would imagine 2 1000w De's in a 4x8 tent with a mini split air handler would be a decent way to go.

Becuase simple math that's why. Its all numbers. I've seen grows where people can tell me how many colas they get per sq ft and how much each weights. Once you have the ability to breakdown your grow to that level your miles ahead of everyone else. It's like anything else your trying to improve. It always comes down to the data.

Sure @Herb Forester thats a solid point but he doesn't want to hear from guys like us anyways? I mean he is wanting to hear from 1-4 light grows where equipment is limited.

And this is why I specifically asked to hear from small scale DE growers. The ones that don't benefit from the massive amounts of cross lighting.

I disagree. The data you are looking to approve upon is post harvest data. Irrelevant to anything happening real time. 10 years ago I crunched numbers and it taught me one thing... numbers aren't real life. Numbers aren't equipment failures, power outages, seasonal changes. They are just harvest data. I can walk into a grow real time and see if things are efficient or not. Know what needs improving next round by week 4 of flower. So numbers to me are better used to measure dicks than growing weed. Just my opinion though.

1-4 or 6-12 makes no matter at all though. Its all in how you use the light. You dont think you get cross lighting in a 5x5 tent
and a 1k? Put a 3' diameter cylinder x 4'h in a 5x5 tent with an air cooled de on top of it or do a room full of both. and you are wrong about 25sqft of canopy vs 50 because in a 5x5 a 3'x4' cylinder in a 5x5 = 62 sqft

this entire thread produced one useful piece of data. That's better than most. Good luck on your grows fellas. I'm done with the woods.
