Does anyone decarb for RSO?
Just wondering how others get their product dry enough and wondering if decarbing for RSO that I smoke would cause issues..
I have always just used dried cured herb but started to wonder.

I remix the oil with a small amount of quality bud and let it cure in a container with a couple small air holes.
Last batch tasted unbelievably good. Really.

I always decarb my oil when I am making it because I am ingesting it. Never thought about smoking it but sounds good.

Personally I think it tastes bad as it still is full of waxes and lipids ect - but you get full effect

I just made some and used empty gelcaps from Amazon. Just take a pill, no bad taste.

I soak my bud in everclear and then boil it off directly in a rice cooker after straining. I just take the alcohol mixture and put it in the rice cooker and turn it on outside and it turns off when it’s light like when cooking rice. Does this decarb the oil enough? Everyone likes the oil

My rice cooker will get the water to 106°C i guess alchohol would go higher if its a better termal conductor. But 104 should start the decarb .130 would be the best temperature.

so your not cleaning the mixture and your using the oil only after the rice cooker shuts off?
i’ve taken out the fuse in my rice cooker so it doesn’t shut off so i can cook it longer as it’s needed and than when bubbling has basically stopped is when most will smoke it but there’s still traces of isopropyl (that’s what i use) so than i’ll let simmer on a coffee warmer a few hours and it’ll be perfect.. the best to use is 99.9% isopropyl as any alcohol with a water content will leave alcohol in your product,..
here is some good info to read that explains it,.
so use the purest form of alcohol,..

Does Alcohol Added During the Cooking Process Really Boil Away?

The boiling point of alcohol varies depending on its type, but ethanol typically boils at 173.1°F (78.37°C) under standard atmospheric pressure.

Ah I didn’t include some information. So I said the bud in the alcohol ground up then strain with cheesecloth then a coffee filter. Then you know how a rice cooker ou just pour water in and the rice I just pour my alcohol mixture as if it was water. Set it outside to cook in case it explodes.
