Hello everyone, My username is ThomasMeow, after my cat Thomas.
I was this is a good place to learn.
I have been making cannabis butter for a few years and I could make some put you on your butt brownies.
I had to move and I am having trouble making butter the way I always did. The butter is very weak.
The oven in this place is a POS. My brother let me use his Air Fryer and I pick the bake option, kind of a little convection oven.
I make an Aluminum foil Envelope and seal my herb in and in the oven for 1/2 hour @250.
This is what I did at my last place and I am blaming the oven not decarbing fully or at all.
Can you guys please tell me how you decarbing? I am looking at buying a decarbing machine on Amazon but I know it can be done in an oven.
I’m sorry if this has been asked and answered already and if you could point me to the posts I would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks everyone

Thank you very much. I would like to ask you how to do it, can I just put it on a foil covered sheet pan and not cover it? Does it need to be covered with foil or just on the sheet pan.
If I don’t cover it I can see the color looking for golden brown.
I used to see it before I had to use a POS oven.
I also heard that you can use one of those Turkey cooking bags and I would be able to see the color difference. Have you or anyone reading try it?
So I guess my problem is not enough heat?
I just got a digital thermometer that you leave the probe in the oven. Now I should be right on with the temperature.
So just let it cook for 1/2 hour @ 250 uncovered and look for the golden brown color?

Thanks to all for your help.

I like to do 35-40min on 230F on a baking sheet in the middle of the oven, default fan setting, no grills. Uncovered.
If you got trim dont crumble it, if you got buds then lightly crumble but dont grind. Every 10min you want to shake the sheet. Enjoy your entire house smelling like weed.
