Well it's true anything is possible!! I'm going to let them dry up more than I usually do, I've never heard someone say they hate fabric pots! That's a first, but everyone likes thing the way they doHarder, but possible I think... I personally hate fabric pots because I suck at gauging the water with them... I actually took mine out of them and put them in the ground... and yes they dry out fast, especially outside. Maybe someone else with more experience with fabric pots will chime in... I had 15 gal ones so I can't say how often smaller ones need watering, especially during flower.I just know when my outdoor babies get too wet, leaves yellow and drop.
Yes, they are 60 days since sprout today and flowering for about 2 maybe 3 weeks, I now know where I messed up, I never upped my nutrients at all since beginning in veg with fox farm trio, grow big at 1/4 and big bloom at 1/4, and tiger bloom at 1/3 (since pre flower began) watered each plant half gallon with those mixtures, now I know I need to up the bloom nutrients to at least 1/2 my next feeding and then 3/4 my next. I believe I starved them so they ate themselves up????Looks like a K deficiency IMHO.
Older leaves turning pale, though it has what appears to be high N, looking at the plant on the right in the last pic and how shiny and green the leaves are.
Pull off a couple of leaves (both yellowed and green) and see if they snap right off, like the leaf stem is brittle. A really good indicator.
It doesn't look like its a Mg issue. Look at the stalks and branches, there is no purpling in them. a sure tell of a Mg issue, though a little Epsom salt isn't a bad thing deficiency or not.
There could be light bleaching at the top, from the lights being too close, but these plants are probably in week 5-7 and looking hard for K now and that will continue to ramp up till they finish.
Might want to check the nutrient ratio's.
Candy Kush from growers choiceWhat strain ?
What week of flowering ?
Have you reduced Nitrogen ?
Do you use Cal/Mag?
I should have posted the amount I've been dosing at I'm doing 1/4 the recommended dose of grow big so about 4ml, and big bloom about 1/4 is about 15ml, and I did about 1/3 of tiger bloom at 5ml to a gallon of water then only used half gallon to each plant. Haven't changed it but am going to up the tiger bloom to about half now and then to 3/4, so I'll raise it slowly. Idk if I should up the grow big which has N in bigger amounts or just leave it at what I'm doing now.1/4 tsp ? 1.25 ml ?
I’m not sure how to go about correcting the low nutes at this point - hopefully someone here has experience with it.
But IMO they’re def starved and I would think that they need more N even though they are 3wk.
And I doubt you nute burned them with that little of the trio
- IMO that was probably a PH issue with the water, 6 is pretty low for soil 6.2 is low as I go up to about 6.7
And if soil is just amended with Coco - Let them dry out between watering.
I had issues on my first run and ended up “keeping them damp” because the Coco growers thought that’s where I had gone wrong. Trust me over watering is worse than under watering !!
But if soil is just amended with Coco - It’s soil.
Anyhow they have a long time to recoup I think you’ll be alright
No promblem! And yes they are autos so I made the mistake to keep nutrient levels low as advised but my dumbass forgot to up them slowly like I've read a million times, I hope, really hope this doesn't effect my end yield but first time growing so I guess I can't complain I've made it this far, thricomes are still clear so I have time to get them fatter hopefully, I will update this thread In few days or sooner if things worsen, to show if improvement with them so anyone who runs into this can learn from the thread as well!I realized after reading your on/off hours it must be an auto
- I havent done autos
When I was using FF trio I started with there recommended nutes !?!?
Oops !
That is why I said I don’t think I nute burned them as mine never showed any obvious signs - to my eyes ( they had gotten dark green and tips curled down)
But no burn in a similar soil as yours. But each plants different so idk. Hopefully you will get it straight
I’ll be watching - nice to learn as much as I can so if faced with same circumstance I’ll know what to do
Not an expert here but given how pale green the leaves are how about a possible nitrogen deficiency? I don't water everyday and I feed every time I water. Usually every 3 days depending on how light the pot feels.View attachment 1174990View attachment 1174991View attachment 1174992View attachment 1174988View attachment 1174989
Hello first time grower, first time posting so here's my info
Soil-root a organic Greenlite
Pots-3 gallon fabric
Tent-3x3x6
Nutrients- fox farm trio every third watering, I do water everyday my soil is high draining
Temp and rh- 76-80 degrees f, 45-51% humidity
Lights-2x LeFreshinsoft Full Spectrum 1000W LED , actual wattage 100 each
Ph- water with about 6-6.6 ish
This fading yellow on the leaves starts at the stem, I flushed one plant and that was yesterday since run off pH was low, and Im not sure if that was the issue? Anyone have any insight that'd be great
They are autos, and yeah I noticed the brown pistils, but thricomes are all clear on that plant still, not sure if that's genetics or not.MY bad, I just assumed (bad idea I know) that everyone gave a high dose of N the week before they put their plants in flower when using soil. especially if they have been in the same pot longer than 4-6 weeks. Brown as some of those pistils looked (I got old eyes...edit) I would have thought u were over 4-5 weeks of flower.
My experience with autos predates the now common advice to not fertilize. I grow a couple every outdoor season (where they have never finished) and feed them the same as the photos. They’re freebies and I’ve got far better in photos. They cruise right along. Last season got turned on to a bunch of AN Iguana. Free autos and free nutes? White Hulk reached 4-1/2’ and was covered in buds. Until bud rot! They are autos, and yeah I noticed the brown pistils, but thricomes are all clear on that plant still, not sure if that's genetics or not.
I've been under feeding nutrients, now I've learned my lesson to pay attention and up nutrients and not keep them the same the whole grow, rookie mistake just hoping they bounce back now!
Well I went against that common advice, I watered my taller plant yesterday morning at about 6 in the morning with nutrients, and today it was bone dry at about 5ish this afternoon just feed it more Nutrients and upped the bloom to half strength, from 5 ml to a gallon to 7.5ml a gallon today, watered with about a gallon and a half both times, the shorter one is still wet in the soil so I'm not watering it till it's as dry as the taller one with the more bloom nutrients. My experience with autos predates the now common advice to not fertilize. your fine but if there’s room than absolutely top it off with more..Random question here, so where the stem goes into the soil, my soil has compacted and sometimes I can see roots when watering and I just cover them back up with my dirt, should I add fresh soil to cover the root ball top better? Would this hurt since the new soil would have amendments in it since it's fresh? Or is it fine the way it is for the remainder of its life?
Sounds good! Will probably add just a little, make me feel better I guessyour fine but if there’s room than absolutely top it off with more..
I know a lot of US members will hate on me, but Fox Farm nutrients are pretty bad quality. Great marketing in the Cannabis World but mediocre quality. I suggest trying higher quality fertilizers for others plants...Another picture of dead leaves from the bottom portion of plantView attachment 1174993
No hate from me at all, I only chose this brand since almost everyone I've seen uses it and this is my first grow ever, only one I really heard of.I know a lot of US members will hate on me, but Fox Farm nutrients are pretty bad quality. What brands or line up is better for nutrients in your opinion? Others have better results? I'm always willing to learn what I can or opinions from others
"first grow ever, only one I really heard of" exactly, great marketing, nice packaging, cool product names
Fox Farm works. I'm not saying the contrary. But the fact that you have to add such high quantities of their fertilizers, or you even "have to" combine 2-3 of their products, is very, very questionable to the least. Their Fertilizer to Water Ratio is CRAZY high.
So I'm just wondering what they put in their products, so that you have to use such big quantities, I suspect some placebo in there. Again, just for higher sales.
I'm from Europe, so I dont' kno what you have in the US, but any decent liquid fertilizer will only have you use a quarter of what you use from Fox Farm.
Check out:
- fertilizers for green plants (for ex: Bushes) in the Veg Phase.
- fertilizers for Flowering/Fruit plants in the Flower Phase
Make sure to just pick products with the right NPK values. Should also cost you less than Fox Farm...
Cheers
