she needs calmag
i don’t have a light intensity meter, I’ll pick up and get back to you.. could be itDo you have a light intensity reading taken from the crowns of the plants?
It looks like there could be some deficiencies. Mg seems likely, but too much light can look similar.
So after I moved the light down and increased ppm last week, now I have nice white leader roots starting to come through the stained roots reaching to water and in water, so I think I solved that issue. I do add hydroguard and UC roots could be part of staining…First thought was watering issue.
Then i realized it was hydro.
I'd guess people get a better idea if you could tell the distance of your light too.
And it could be nice to know how much of those roots are in the water.
Knowing nothing about it i'd say that the roots looks good and a bit strange at the same time.
Lets hear what the hydro guys say.
So I’ve been adding Calmag, at 1 ml per gal, I have a 36 gallon system. Maybe I’m not adding enough, I also add the supplement into the system prior to nutrients to prevent any lock up. I have harder water and do add salts to soften it in my primary water system which goes through multiple filters, I’ll increase calm at to 2-3ml/ gallon and see it resolves the issue. Thanks for insight.she needs calmag.
What is the pH of the water before and after adding the amendments?
My Ph of tap is 7.35- 7.45 prior to ph adjustment and adding nutrients.
I actually just realized im killing my healthy bacteria with the UC. I had a brain fart, last time I grew sterile, this time I was trying the hydro guard, forgot to eliminate the UC. Need to stop UC roots, I’m killing my bugs…So after I moved the light down and increased ppm last week, now I have nice white leader roots starting to come through the stained roots reaching to water and in water, so I think I solved that issue. Also, the new growth looks great now that I increased the calmag, check em outSo I have had some great success since I moved the light down I think that was the issue with the roots, I agree weird roots but looked healthy, look at them now, same plant….
