Defiencies, Nute Burn? Need a hand Fam!

Recently I've had some problems w/ a few of my ladies, they have yellow and dark mottled rust colored spots and are curling upward. I have grown this same strain with the same nute regimen and have never had a problem. The only difference this run was that I used different soil Roots Organics instead of FFOF and have PK'd them earlier than the last run. For PK boost I'm using AN Hammerhead at 6ml/g. My baselines are Botanicare, PBPB soil, Sweet, Silica Blast, AN Sensizym, Cal-Mag, Liquid Karma. I use RO and PH to about 6.5-6.8. Here are a few Pics, need some advice or insight. Phosphorous uptake issue, possibly combined with magnesium by first perusal. But, those leaves look just like when you treat for powdery mildew and it dies inside the plant, makes the leaves look all fucked up but it's just from the dead/dying PM.

I'd suggest a foliar but your girls are kinda thick. Perhaps a flush, then a big push of Cal-Mag (rust spots + necrosis = calcium problem to my eyes + interveinal chlorosis = magnesium problem + necrosis of leaf tips working back = phosphorous problem).

I can tell by looking at those pics that you have root aphids my dude. You probably won't see the bugs at this stage, or you may have what you think is a fungus gnat problem. If you poke the top inch or two of your medium you may (or may not) see tiny fast moving, clear to white crawlies. Nothing is wrong with nutes, don't Add anything. Go to home depot and pick up a bottle of Bayer Tree and Shrub, if you don't mind chems, and hit up all plants in veg (not flower) with it. All cuts when transplanting treat with Bayer at 20-30 ml per gallon, then perhaps hit them again with the Bayer upon final transplant before flower.

Hmm, I have read the comments and thoughts on all. I've been a "farmer" for a few months and Seamaiden knows his stuff. I do a lot of research, reading and know a very renowned horticulturalist. I think you may have a bigger problem than your nutrients though. Are you over watering? Pick up the plants and get the weight of the before and after.Let your medium air out...get hands on, trial and error results. Lil miss lones response was needed but I would never bring chemicals into my garden. I'm sure other answers will show here. Happy and Healthy Harvests Farmers! CD:pimp:

I'm a her, and thank you, but please remember that I am still relatively very new to all of this (certainly don't have the decades under my belt that I do with fishies). I also have to say you might want to consider very closely what lil miss has to say. Better safe than sorry, such a quick thing to do, to check. I'm reading a LOT more about root aphids in the communities, too. Also, some folks are saying that even the Bayer Tree & Shrub (look on the island, lil miss, you should find the thread) may not do it. Now I can't remember the name of the other stuff they were talking about, same active ingredient as Bayer... damn!

She taught me, she sure did! Fortunately, I'm not having to speak from direct experience with root aphids.

Eradicating Root Aphids?

Hey peeps thanks to all of you for your responses. I would have to lean toward the root aphids due to only 3-4 plants out of the 16 that have been afflicted. I have spotted a few fungus gnats and tend to think that it may be a sign of infestation. Lil Miss Lone, I checked under the hood but couldn't notice if there were any crawlies. I'm thinking of using Azatrol since they are about 4 weeks in bloom, and it being the least harsh of the options. Green Light that has Imidacloprid as an active indredient is another option or the one Motherload or Lil Miss mentioned. What do you guys think is the most effective and less harsh considering I'm in mid bloom?

Since your in fairly late bloom I'd just treat with Azatrol. Once Every single Monday I did a soil drench with the Azatrol at 30ml per gallon. I would also do a foliar spray of Azatrol at 8ml per 500ml water, mixed with SM-90 (wetting agent/antibacterial) at 1ml per 500ml water. You have to stay on top of it and be vigilant, can't miss a single application. I didn't have flyers throughout flower, and my plants stayed mostly green and healthy looking throughout flower, even though I still had an active root aphid infestation. I was on top of it from day one of flower though.

I can tell you from personal experience that you can use the Azatrol as frequently as every three days with no ill effects on the crop.

Perfect, every three days then!! I found regular drenches kept the population down for me in flower, but by no means knocked them out. My plants in flower remained mostly green throughout, only a few leaves dead and dying, and I had no flyers.

Well, Azatrol and Azamax are the exact same thing, the Azatrol is just a little cheaper.
