Ya she's pretty lanky for sure it's around 3 1/2 foot....I don't rember the strain I found the seed in a nug I bought from the dispensary....I have 600 watts on it right now my camera is shot so I had to turn off a light to get the picture good....so when u say u cut off part of it do u mean u just trim the leaf? Instead of cutting the branch itself? My buddy bought me a 1200w led light for my new plants how many u think should go under one 1200w lightThat little mark on the end of one lobe isn't going to hurt anything. The plant is kind of lanky and seems to allow the light to penetrate into it pretty well. When I trim off leaves, I try to keep in mind that the leaves are the power source for the plant. The more leaves, the better it grows, in general. I only remove the leaves, or parts of leaves, that shade the growing nodes under them. The lower large fan leaves don't shade anything, so it is preferred to leave them on until they begin to yellow. I try to keep as many larger fan leaves on as possible, but also try to make sure that the growing areas of the plant gets a lot of light, which increases growth and yield. It's a balance you need to maintain between not taking off too many leaves and slowing the plant's growth and having a thick canopy but little growth under it. Clearing out some of the canopy to allow more light to penetrate into the plant is my ultimate goal. I usually pick off a few leaves at a time as it grows instead of a large scale attack, but different growers use different methods... whatever they feel more comfortable with doing.
Keep up the good work. What kind and how much light are you using?
Thanks bud ya I do tend to worry haha.....ya I let this one just go I didn't top or anything but the hair are looking nice right now so I'm hoping it doesn't come out a thin yieldHey chron , dont get discouraged about lankey , many of my favorite strains are "lankey" and look just like yours at some stages of growth......
Arrexiate the info...ya my buddy said to trim it but o it deaf didn't look as bushy as my last so I have just let it do it's thingStand over it and only prune off the leaves are are blocking bud sites. I wouldn’t prune much though since it’s not a very leafy plant.
Don't prune shit, grow that plant. Bend it over and tie it, if it's too tall, it's not hard. Can't figure why/how new growers want to defoliate a plant that uses that same stored energy to produce the buds, they're supposedly wanting...? Then the gripe, where's my two lb's a plant...?Ya she's pretty lanky for sure it's around 3 1/2 foot....I don't rember the strain I found the seed in a nug I bought from the dispensary....I have 600 watts on it right now my camera is shot so I had to turn off a light to get the picture good....so when u say u cut off part of it do u mean u just trim the leaf? I see what your saying but all that sarcastic talk ain't needed dude... Read the comments I said I was going to just let it grow as it is... I do appreciate the info tho cuz I'm new to growing but noone said anything about 2 lbsDon't prune shit, grow that plant. Bend it over and tie it, if it's too tall, it's not hard. Been talking to a friend about this I didn't even know about that until like 3 days ago def something I wanna start learning and tryingAfter you have a grow or two..this is yet another way..HST= high stress training
Best advice that I can give..is go slow., and use 2 hands..One holding the stem, and the other bending and twisting, until you hear/feel a pop.Been talking to a friend about this I didn't even know about that until like 3 days ago def something I wanna start learning and trying
Did you think defoliating would up your potential harvest? Just trying to see this from your side and glean the logic...I see what your saying but all that sarcastic talk ain't needed dude... Thin plant dont mean thin yield !Thanks bud ya I do tend to worry haha.....ya I let this one just go I didn't top or anything but the hair are looking nice right now so I'm hoping it doesn't come out a thin yield
And the good part is that you can supercrop in flower too!Thin plant dont mean thin yield !
Hey chron, buzz is right , just as a funny coincidence, i just supercropped my thin plants , one of my fav techniques , it will be too hard emotionally for you , no disrespect , but it involves squeezing the stem near the top, or anywhere you want
You will squeeze hard damaging the fiber till you feel it collapse practically , in essence crushing it...
Its used instead of topping or fimming , it works great , the side shoots will bulk up then the whole stem callouses up...
Try it now or next time , this pic that i just did reflects a mild version ....
Do it a few weeks before flowering...

Yes n no just looking into it....I didn't really mean this plant with defoliating I meant more just in gereDid you think defoliating would up your potential harvest? Just trying to see this from your side and glean the logic...
When I first joined after years of growing I always tried to find the answers to my questions by searching prior to asking, as I didn’t want to appear lazy or ignorant.
Suggest you spend some time reading, maybe some of the grow diaries and some in the basic growing sections...that way you’ll gain a better basis for growing, and what not to do. Hope this is helpful. The remark about 2 lbs per plant was a bit over the top, sorry for that lapse of good humor. Good growing to you, enjoy the community.
Learn to read before u comment noone needs your sarcastic bullshit bud now get outta my thread...thanksI'd ride it out for while, it doesn't appear to need defoliating. Heres my wedding cake at 36 days. And you think your plant needs defoliating, lol.
