For real I would dump two cups of water on them . Easier to water correctly, achieve proper dryback in smaller pots as they grow. Then up-pot

Some do. If you're careful, they don't notice much. If you're sloppy and gorilla-fisted, they'll lag.

Generally, most don't mess with autos except some LST for yields. Janky auto genetics will likely be your biggest hurdle.

Unrelated, sort of:
I have a loose as fuck theory that Ruderalis (very high latitude evolution) traits carried over to make autos can also possibly make them sensitive to intense lights such as LEDs. But, I also have to unzip my pants to count to 21, so WTF do I know lol.

I have done some LST on autos in the past. When I get so many branches pulled over I top it and let it grow out

I up pot my autos almost always and they grow as good as the ones that I don’t . Just make sure you have everything ready and take out the whole starting cup. gl with all .

I lst & up pot my autos with no problem! Hell I even use the Stab method to increase flower/bud points and it works so well with them. I top my autos too. I’ve compared with the same seeds and really it seems there is no problem just an increase in harvest!
