I noticed it's on the tops of the blocks too but not as much as the bottom.

I have my own guesses but I want to see what you guys come up with.View attachment 914459View attachment 914458

Nope @Dirtbag . In my defense tho I was running H202 religiously. Only thing I would get on my blocks was salt buildup. Are you using that great white? We used to get that from running great white in coco pots.

Lol yeah no not the roots... I mean the stuff that looks like white powder, tiny little specks clumped in spots.

My guesses were bacterial colonies from the voodoo juice maybe, or mold, or worst case, RA eggs/exudate. I also have a bit of this on the surface of my fabric potted plants in promix too. I've searched for any RAs though and not found a single one so that seems an unlikely explanation.
I havent added any fungal bennies at all so if its mycos or something, im not sure where it would have come from.

It's also on the bottom of the block I took out with the dead plant in it that never rooted. Seems to run in a line down the center of the block where it contacted the drain tray. Which is why I thought maybe mold.

yeah never have seen it. It's not RA most likely. You would see a ton of them if that was the case.

I've been running 3ml per gallon 29% H2O2 the past week. Which is why I think bacteria from voodoo is less likely. I decided to go sterile after only 1 week lol.

IME bacteria is usually somewhat opaque and slimey. Unless it debris of some sort I would say it fits the bill of fungi... I would assume mycorrhizae although it could be water mold... Not really a fungi but very close

My man.

Is it buildup on that table? My tables look like a salt mine after a run.

I suppose it's possible. I've had some pretty dry dry-backs. Under magnification it looks like tiny white spheres.

I'm not terribly concerned, if it's a fungus of some sort the odds are it wont really hurt the roots I dont think.

Yeah, its weird. I'll keep an eye on it.. Not much else I can do.

Those little ball things disintegrate into like a white powder when I poke around at them. Which seems odd if it were a mold.

Who knows..

Which is weird if running H202. Should be murdering it with prejudice. Should even be able to hear the screams.

Would be but h2o2 breaks down fast... @dirbag your adding 3ml per gal and how long does it stay in the res or are you mixing right before use?

Mycorrhizae is beneficial anyhow so not like I would worry about although may be concerned that it CAN grow.... What else could then right?

H202 is usually about 3-4 days until you redose but minus an inoculation from nutes/medium ect it shouldnt be in the system even after that. If you dose the nutes with no add backs after that you will have no vector for it. He is also running UV so its a dfouble whammy.

I am with you on it. Might just be something in the pure blend from running the H202. I have never ran Pure blend sterile so no idea on that. Could just be the dead bodies. Yep we know where you hide them now @Dirtbag

Hey man I never really checked into this but do you have an idea of how long h2o2 actually stays active in water? I mean I know it depends on what's is the water but my presumption has also kinda been.... It diacipates relatively quickly may withing a day? And since it kills everything it doesn't needs to be resized again for 3-4 days as bacteria populations would start at next to 0 after and would not have a chance to repopulate within that time period

Most of what I've read suggests h2o2 is broken down within 24 hrs.

I dose my res before a feeding, but the res lasts about 3 days.

I've developed a plan for dealing with the white spotty shit, I'm just not gonna look under there again lol. I'll keep on with the h2o2 treatment and not worry about it. The plants are feeding and sucking back water fast. The little ones in croutons are growing already too. Much shorter lag compared to Hugo's.

Ill do a prune tonight, then a last tidy up a week into flower before I net them.
