so I built this cloner right from a tutorial I found online everything is running smoothly or so it seems. only been 1 day since I took the cutting a lol and used the cloner hahaha but anyways.. the cuts were dipped in clonex rooting gel and bonide root powder from home depot that I had laying around and used clonex solution in the rez.. I opened it today 24 hours later and it's super foamy, does that sound correct?

why? and is it good or bad?

Empty it out and rinse it and fill it back up with regular un PHed tap water thats been sitting out over night, I had the same problem.
You can dip your cutting in root gel but adding anything to the spray water will have you changing the water in a few days.

I always get a small amount of foam when I use tap h2o. I made the same 36 site cloner, but the foot print is way too big. I can have 2x25 site cloner that take up less space that then36 site. So I sold it for 300 on CL.

300?! no fucking way! pm me pics of the 2 25s.. the foot print on this sucks dick.

so I changed it twice already and the second time I washed it with dish a soap and completely rinsed the soap out and I got a tad bit a foam again. is this okay or bad? because in really don't wanna have to change the water again.

Dish soap is a no no. Hope you didn't use antibacterial soap. It will kill plants. Looks like you didn't get it all out. If the foam.was about 1/4 to 1/2 at most id let it go. Seems you have junk in the system .

So you don't use nothing in your cloner?

Plain 6.0 ph tap, small air stone. Dip n grow cloning stuff. Cloners run 24/7, t5 light on 18/6. 82-84*, 50%rh. Can't get it any higher.

what kind of junk? why is foam bad can anyone tell me that?

you stated you always get a little foam? isn't this a little bit? is it detrimental to my cuttings? how can I completely sterilize this cloning system?

Honesty if it were me, I'd start all over with a super cleaning with water only (rinse, rinse, and rinse again), then add just 6.0 wayer straight from the tap, nothing else. Let run and check the next day. Should be less than half or better the amount of foam you have in the last pic.

Also what kind of h20 you on? City, well, hard water? What's taps ppm?

taps at like 270ish.

I'm gonna check it right now and see and then yeah worst case scenario I take all these cuts again.

don't have an ro right now though I will be upgrading. what does your tap test at?
