really ,so you think that aint gonna open a can of worms world wide haahah
mate you might not know this ,but it is natural for the plant to reproduce, that trait has to be breed out of it,meaning the breeder has to work the strain, that said,it has nothing to do with the geographic area ,it is the breeder.
but a true landrace is a plant that reproduces, landrace doesnt have anything to do with the age of the plants and from years way gone.
might try a difrent breeder mate, and of course your gonna find the adverage joe selling seeds with no work to them, why not everyone else seems to think its ok to just drain pockets, look at prices of the equitment to grow these day,i just looked up the same gear i bought 5 yrs ago,for a friend wanting to start growing, prices have doubled since oi bought mine and it hasnt inproved it the same stuff lmao
thats the thing mate and reason for the happens, usa isnt legal, some states claim to be ,but by gov law it is not legal, the dutch sell soveniers to loop hole the law,in reality the folks across the pond been hoarding the market for years and that why a closet grower makes there own seeds,i do no way in hell i pat todays prices for seeds,my old closet grown stuff shol enough gives me a buzz.I was going to give Cannardo a shot, but after reading a interview with its founder, I didn’t find his comments regarding hermies very reassuring.
I think I’ll stick with paradise seeds. I’ve never had any hermie issues and I first used them over 20 years ago.
I agree regarding equipment. I build my own using garden centre and aquarium shop parts. A lot cheaper and better quality. The “kits“ use shitty chinese pumps. I use eheim and it still works our less than half price.
The quality is worse than years ago too. Tents are made out of paper compared to what was used a few years back and many of the better brands have sold their names.
Only area that has moved forward is LED lighting.
My comments regarding Dutch and American breeders was more to do with the length of legality in both countries rather than geographical location. The Dutch have got a big head start In that regard.
The USA scene has grown fast, maybe too fast if you look at the stability of feminised seeds? Add in the American commercialisation aspect ($$$ for a seed) and you can see why some have maybe been tempted to rush things?
The purple city genetics were awful and not cheap.
i cant really say much on the matter,i have bought seeds twice, once from nirvana real bad experience, once from swami really like them,im just not going to pay this kind money for seeds, aint happening, once you smoke that doobie and your high, there isnt a flavor or strain it just high and my breeds do that for me ,freaking crazy spending 100 bucks on 5 seeds, not this old gezzer hahahahPurple city sells clones locally here, nobody wants them cuz they suck, didnt even know they sold seeds, ive grown thousands of seeds since 77 and dont remember getting even one hermie, shouldnt have that problem with the paradise(bought seeds from them pre-2000) dont remember what strain. Been using Bomb seeds last couple grows with great results(gorilla bomb)also archive and canuk and few others(no herms)
I just read the the original GSC seeds came from a hermied plant?
That would explain a lot.
The “breeder“ said that he calls the seeds in hermie plants “fortune cookies”. That takes the piss.
So did chemdog and its children like sour diesel and og kush.
All the most popular american strains.
Rather than well bred to be great plants like the old dutch breeders favorites. They really stabilized them back then.
