okay i will get a scope. So when flushing, is it best to water from the top down?
Or to still water them from the bottom up like i've been doing?
And i've always made sure to PH my water after putting the nutrients in.
I dont know what ppm and ec are though?...

At least 1 if not all of those look like hermaphrodites, surprised nobody else has noticed the seeded looking bud on the first close-up. They are not done either, when your pistils are standing up they are still producing resin

Im almost positive they're not hermes. There would be seed sites all over. I think thats just the way they bud.

Here's another opinion that i read as part of another article. There is no other plant that requires flushing ( tobacco, fruits, veggies), so why MJ?--Preharvest flushing puts the plant(s) under serious stress. The plant has to deal with nutrient deficiencies in a very important part of its cycle. Strong changes in the amount of dissolved substances in the root-zone stress the roots, possibly to the point of direct physical damage to them. Many immobile elements are no more available for further metabolic processes. We are loosing the fan leaves and damage will show likely on new growth as well.

The grower should react in an educated way to the plant needs. Excessive, deficient or unbalanced levels should be avoided regardless the nutrient source. Nutrient levels should be gradually adjusted to the lesser needs in later flowering. Stress factors should be limited as far as possible. If that is accomplished throughout the entire life cycle, there shouldn’t be any excessive nutrient compounds in the plants tissue. It doesn’t sound likely to the author that you can correct growing errors (significant lower mobile nutrient compound levels) with preharvest flushing.

Drying and curing (when done right) on the other hand have proved (In many studies) to have a major impact on taste and flavour, by breaking down chlorophylls and converting starches into sugars. Most attributes blamed on unflushed buds may be the result of unbalanced nutrition and/or overfert and unproper drying/curing."

Nah my bad i worded that wrong after you flush them like that i usally give them a day or 2 to dry off b4 i put them into darkness YOur rite if you flush them like that and then put them straight into darkness you could get mold sorry for not wording that rite but this is how i have flushed my the last 2 harvest and my ash burns nice and white I'm also running pure coco witch is a big difference compared to soil It is damn near impossible to drown plants in pure coco And I was telling him how to flush them not to do it right away like that I usually do that final big flush after a good 10 to 12 days of just giving them pure water. I also didn't realize how small your pots are I use 7gallon pots thats why I flush 20 to 25 gallons through them. Again I'm sorry for not wording it correct and not looking at the size of your containers but deff let them dry out for a day or 2 b4 you put them into darkness and you only need probably 5 to 7 gallons of water to flush out those small pots sorry hommie.

1 more thing you need to go get you a scope and should only go by the color of your trics to determine when they are done and you should usually flush for the last 2 weeks b4 harvest with hydro you dnt have to flush for so long but soil is a must. I usually give mine a mini flush about half way through the flowering cycle to get some of those salts out so you dnt run into any lock out issues. Again I'm sorry for not being more clear I would never give you bad advice on purpose I was just blowed and thought i worded it differently.

haha! Its cool man! I appreciate the advice! I did go and pick up a scope today! But i dont really know what im lookin for...lol. it looked really pretty...but like i said, dont really know what im looking for. But I think I will start flushing in the next day or two. I also picked up a flushing rinse when i got my scope. So that should help.

I just want to mention here that there is a common misconception that a cannabis plant will naturally yellow once it is mature. People call this autumning up and it is a myth that has been passed on by poor growers that always over fertilize! Your grow looks great for your first time but you over did it with the nutes. Those girls look like they have some time left on em I'd say start your flush in 1 to 2 weeks. At this point a mini flush as previously suggested would likely benefit you by washing out the salt buildup in your medium. In soil you should be alternating waterings and nutings. I would let em dry and on your next watering flush with 1 to three times the volume of the pot then your next watering give them a mild nute solution and go nute water nute water from there untill flush.

Thanks hommie I try But its because of all the bad ass grower's on here that I'm even half as good as I am Witch Imop Im ok but thats because I continue to learn and keep pushing my self to be better Any way Your looking at their trics it should look like a mushroom or a stick with a ball on top of it if all of them are clear there not done if there all cloudy their not done you want a good amount of amber trics then you know your done it just depends on personal preference some people like more amber than others the longer you take it the more stonier the weed get I think its because it will have more CBD in it but not 100 sure I think most people like between a 10 to 20% amber But like I said its all preference bud.

make sure you got the view nice n clear by adjusting the scope if it allows you to and make sure its steady. Your gonna be looking at the trichomes of your plant.Gland color will vary with ripeness of the individual THC glands, starting at clear, turning to milky, then turning to an amber color.The first stage, clear, will tend to make for a more cerebral, up high, with very little body effect.The milky trichomes have some cerebral qualities, as well as some of the more physical characteristics of the high. The last stage, amber, brings on a more sedative, physical stone.

When using a magnifying glass to determine ripeness, you’re examining the resin glands on the buds for signs of maturity and/or decay. During flowering, these glands start out small and increase in size as they fill with resin. As they near maturity, the head of the gland will begin to expand and it will start to look like a tiny mushroom. This is the first sign that they’re nearing the point of diminishing returns. This is the point at which production of fresh THC laden resin has slowed and is equal to the rate of decay of THC into CBD.

The decay of THC is accompanied by a change in the color of the resin from clear to amber. This is the other sign of ripeness that can only be determined by magnification. What you’re looking for is the point at which the production of fresh resin is still just barely outpacing the decay. It’s impossible to know the exact moment. You just need to keep checking and go with your gut. 30 power magnification is enough to make the call, but 100 power would be easier to see clearly.

This is a amber trichome. harvesting when most trichomes are amber will give you a couchlock/narcotic high

This is a combo trichome party clody n part amber it gives you an energetic feeling high before the couchlock best time imo

Awesome posts guys! This helps allot! I know exactly what im looking for now and I have a good idea for how flushing is going to go.
Im gonna do a mini flush tonight, and then start to keep a closer eye on them to see when they are ready. Appreciate all the help!

a few things
plants dont look hermie to me.
i agree that your yellowing is due to some kind of lockout or def.
when checking the bulbous heads of the trichs look at the base where it meets the stalk when they start to turn cloudy there thats when it is the best mix of effect to yeild imho
ph ing your water is not enough you need to check your sub ph weekly esp. in those tiny pots.
and good work for your producer seems like a good little set up.

I have two running now! lol. One's vegging my babies and the others just finishing up flowering. So as soon as this batch of Ice finishes, I have a batch of Spoetnik #1's going in after. That way I always have some ready for flowering.

i would try harvesting one and see if you like. if you like it harvest the whole thing...i rarely flush and i like my plants that way...cant tell the diff myself...and i have been growing since the early 70;s. thats just me....

you dont have to flush...anyone that says you do, is just blowing smoke and being meticulous to a degree beyond reason...i mean those who say you "have" to flush....not those who believe flushing gives you better taste...if you like better taste well thats a good reason...

so give it a try...dry a bud ...see if you like or not...leave at least one plant to see if you like it flushed..

Hey bro, I've been rockin a producer for about a year now. I shit canned the hydro too. lol. You might consider using smart pots. You can fit 8-10 3 gallon in there perfectly. Especially if you have a seperate veg area. You can LST with the velco tape and keep a nice low canopy.
