Welp, thought I was in the clear but now I found what I think are male sacks showing up out of nowhere on the colas. I only saw pistils and these may well be pistils as well but they don't look it....

First pic is the top bud site right now . .

And here's what I found today on the same plant . . .

Am I screwed here? Or am I just freaking out over a weird looking pistil or something?

So, pull the plants completely or just the sack(s)? Can a plant be saved and continue to produce buds after removing the sacks?

Even if it seeds it will still produce buds. You will just have to pick the seeds out.

From what I can gather. This is how (accidental hermie) most usa “breeders” create their strains and hybrids. It’s a total piss take.

All hermie seeds should be thrown away imo.

I've seen plants that make one or two balls early on and grow perfectly after.

Put it this way.i had an outdoor plant that i didnt notice it had nanners in the buds till i seen areas with yellow dead bits through the plant and was with them daily.i vaguely remember seeing half a dozen inareas all in the middle of the plant .once a plant self pollenates it puts all of its energy into growing the seeds and not the buds.i have also had plants with the odd nanner and only produced about 6 seeds off a 2lbplant and buds still formed beautifully.so its a little like the less balls nanners there is the less likely your plant will b riddled with seed.you have to wait till seeds are developed before you pull as you wont get them out.a tedious job lol.bashing them in a bath helps ha.
Id prolly put it outside under a tree lol for a couple days with gradual light then after about 4 days id let it have full sun..just to b on the safe side bro but its up to you..

Unfortunately I can't put them outside, no room and neighbors are nosey as hell. What should I look for up close to help determine what to do next?

Side note: the plant that is showing these is my strongest growing and tallest plant :-(

Stupid Q: these were grown from seeds found in buds bought Soo I'm guessing I shouldn't have done that lol.
If I buy feminized seeds from a reputable company, the chances are almost nothing it will grow to have bananas or balls correct?

Only if you go for strains that have been bred properly over many years. Like the well know Dutch strains.

Anything with GSC has a good chance of hermie feminised or not.

It seems hermied seeds are commonly sold in the USA. Crazy imo.

The whole state of California? Where’d you get that statistic?! My California seeds are about to produce a pound. No hermie.

The original GSC came from a hermied plant. The breeder says as much. That’s why so many crosses popped up over night, which were mostly accidental hermies.

That’s the problem with America. It’s too commercial. Anything for a quick buck.

I never had a plant hermie in over 20 years until I tried a OGC strain. No work is put in to breeding or stabilisation. They just call it something new when a plant hermies.

The original GSC “breeder” calls seeds “fortune cookies”. I call him a cheeky bastard.

When I say “Cali” I’m referring to American strains. 99% are hermie shit.

I understand. But you still have no real statistics backing your statement. I’ve never been a fan of GSC anyway. I do agree that there are a lot of pollen chucking scumbags out there but there are very reputable breeders in California and in the US for that matter who take the time and dedication to do things the right way. For you to say 99% plants hermie from the USA? I think it’s you bud. Have a great one and happy grows.

Everyone i know who has grew from American seeds has had hermie plants. Anyone who knows what they are doing in Europe will not buy seeds from the USA and avoid Dutch strains that have been crossed with USA strains.

Do you not think its strange that their are so many crosses and hybrids in American strains compared to the Dutch who have had a 30 year head start?

Most of them were accidental and the hermie seeds should have been thrown not sold. “Fortune cookies”, only in America.

Thats the problem with the USA. Anything for a quick buck. That’s the reason many Dutch seed companies won’t sell to USA customers.

Haha. Keep stating your opinion with no evidence. Those are all personal experiences. Sorry about your luck. I have yet to have a hermie plant.

Mate I'm in the same boat. Grew from seeds that I had in my bud last year. My biggest plant hermied HARD during a week that I was away. Came home to find pollen sacs everywhere. I feel your pain :( I'm now looking up if I can make weed butter with a male lol.

Yours look waaaaaaaaaay more female though. I don't think one or two sacs will impact it much. Mine is... all sacs lol
