Hello, I’m growing 3 photos and my canopies are a little different from what I normally aim for.
There’s only about 9 main branches per plant and I’ve bent and tied down where each branch has a bunch of small shoots coming off it. They are getting direct light.
But I’m wondering if I should prune off some of the inside ones and let the ends get more love. I’m about ready to flip and the way they are now, I’ll a lot of small tops. Should I keep things as is, or is there a benefit to only having a couple laterals on each main ??
The pics show a side view and one from the top.
Thanks all.

As long as you can get light to them, more is better in my book. If they're buried deep in the canopy then consider cutting a FEW.

In the past I’ve been able to get a fairly flat canopy with lots of sites, all about the same level and size. See the pic of a previous grow.
This one has like 2 levels and I’m afraid some of the lower level sites aren’t gonna produce much of a head. But I don’t wanna lose yield, as small tops are better than no tops.
But if I trim them off, will the remaining ones end up larger ?

I expect you have small tops regardless of whether you thin or not.

I've got a similar situation and have topped these plants once with very little low stress training. Leaves have been removed multiple times. There is development down the stem on the taller branches. The shorter ones are one flower and done which will give me "small tops".

I don't expect the plants you show will ever be lots of big colas regardless of what you do. If you don't want small colas clean some branches up. It's getting close to flower time for you.

Thanks for chiming in….your plants look great by the way.
I had planned on flipping before now, but one of the 3 plants started having major issues, so I’ve held off trying to nurse it back to health.
I’m all for as many tops as I can fit into my space, but normally they are all on the same level, or very close. For several reasons, this run resulted in plants with layers or levels. U can kinda see in the pics…..the lower level inner sites are getting light but will probably result in small nuggets at best.
I was curious if I eliminated those inner branches if the tops would pick up the slack and be bigger than before.

I like your "just growing to have something to obsess over" comment on your profile. I get it :-). BTW your plants look great too.
