possibly your "pee" was acting like a deterrent to other animals, like marking your territory. lol better be careful, you might anger an alfa male wolf or the like or BUM depending on where you live. lol

I would piss around em outside to keep the deer out. Those mofo's don't play when it comes to eating your plants. Make sure you drink plenty of water when you use your piss. Pee should be nearly clear if you are hydrated enough.

Yep, that's exactly why I do it. It will keep away deer, skunks, bears, lots of things.
