From what the more senior members of the community have told me you don't really need to dose with nutes at this stage as long as your soil is optimal.

I probably won't dose my seedlings with npk until they are around a month old.

Some Coco coir comes pre treated with nutrients and won't need supps for the first while, whereas others aren't and will require them to be added. I forget the fancy word for the process but it should say on the bag if nutrients have been added or not.

Well I had added biochar to the tiny pots they were in but I had to get them out of there ASAP as I've heard autos don't like being re bed so they're in the final pot now. I don't think the new soil has anything added they look so small right now only just lost their helmets so I'm gonna wait a little longer anyway. I'm just learning on the spot I'm sure it will slot in place eventually. This run will be trial and error I'm just hoping it goes well though!

Sounds good to me, trial and error is the mother of all horticulture. Sometimes you might not learn everything there is to learn online, you might benefit more from just fucking around and finding out. In my opinion experimenting and developing your OWN methods is so much fun, plus if you mess up theres always more seeds to grow. In this context a failure is still a victory because you learn just as much.

Hey there @Maddison, as seedlings, they are capable of staying healthy for at least 2-3 weeks. So no nutrients need to be added. After that I would use a quarter strength 'grow' nutrient to get started. Hope this helps
Cheers

Imo that seedling doesn’t need nutes yet. It does need light tho. U don’t want it to start legging because of lack of sufficient light. It’s a good feeling to see em sprout that’s for sure. Happy growing!

Watch the cotyledons. They provide nutrients to the young plants. When they start to yellow, the plant depends on its root for nutrients. That's just an indicator, though. They might need nutrients sooner depending on the soil you're using.

By the way, @Maddison, let us know how you like that light as growing continues. Your tent looks nice. You'll need more soil than what is in that one pot. I usually fill mine to about an inch from the top. Perlite (or something that does what it does) is a necessary amendment.
