So I put together a little MacGyver style aqua clone setup with stuff I had lying around. This is more to see if I can do it this way than out of necessity, I'll probably only cut like 4 for my experiment. My question is, do I add anything to the water? I've only ever cloned in the little pods in a humidity dome using cloning gel, so this is new to me. If it goes well, I may do a legit setup next season.

My go-to is dip n grow works 50 times better than clonex . I also mix up light nutes somewhere around 5ml a gal and soak my rockwood cubes for 24 hours before cloning , I usually have a 100% success rate .
I cut, dip into clonex gel, place in foam puck in cloner. I use clonex cloning solution in the water, it helps but not a must. I’ve cloned many times with straight water. I do ph around 6.3. Always 100% success.
