Hi all

I am having the usual problem...chasing lights.

I have a 315 CMH with a 3k bulb and i was thinking of replacing it with 240 watts of samsung strips.

It goes in a 4 x 4 tent and with the 315 i will run a timber 2Vl (200 watts of vero cob).

Do you think the quantum strips are good enough to swap out for the 315?

I love my 315 i just worry about bulb failure. I use the phillips high end bulb and so far so good but never worrying about it is kind of nice.

I think I should just stop it and grow a round with 500 watts of cob and CMH but i have a good shot at a cheap light that is 240 watts of samsung strips (mixed spectrum).

What do you think ?

And yes....it looks like a calmag deficiency. That is funny to others :D

I think 280 to 300w of strips will be a good replacement for a cmh,not sure 240w is enough, but idk what a quantum strip is lol.

Ahhh, Samsung strips probably.it should be close to the same yields if I had to guess, less power, less heat

I run 20 of those in a 10x5 with a 5x8 grow environment with a 340 power supply per 5 strips. Just my opinion but I don't think you're going to get enough watts for that amount of space.

I just responded because I run those exact lights though I have never run CMH.
