Doc’s Box: First grow in 5+ years

Hey guys! Glad to be back! I used to constantly be cruising the forum during my last grows. It’s been around 6 years since my last grow diaries. Crazy how time flies. It’s cool to be able to still see my old diaries lol. I hope to provide some good content...

Right to it.

I grabbed 4 Sunset Sherbert clones from a dispensary on 4/20, and then some other OG Kush and Runtz clones from a friend the following weekend. I put 2 OG and 2 Runtz in 5 gal pots, and the rest in 2 gals. They’ve been vegging outside since then, with some supplemental light from a 4x4 tent that I just started setting up. On 5/1, I started leaving everything except the 4 5 gals outside. I’ve been bringing them into the tent at 830 PM with lights out and back outside at 830 AM. So about 2 weeks into flower. As of today, the 4 will remain in the tent for the majority of flowering.

These are the SS the day I got them (4/20):

Day 1 flower for 2 x OG and 2 x Runtz

OG/Runtz today:

The whole lot today:

Any and all feedback is welcome! It’s been a long time since my last run, and any input is greatly appreciated.

Glad to be back!

Thank you! Been getting some rain for the last couple days, so the 4 5gals have been keeping cozy in the tent with a 600W HPS, and a “2000W” led (actual draw 220W).

So what is your guys’ opinion on lighting these days? I see tons of new technology that wasn’t around, or just barely starting when I stopped.

Little update: Been raining for the last couple days, so I’ve had the OG in the tent the whole time. I’m using General Organics, and following their schedule, feeding has been around 370-400PPM. Should I be feeding more? I’ve never had a PPM meter before, but I’ve seen higher numbers in your guys’ grows. Any advice?

I think the LST plant is coming along nicely. Not sure if I did it right though.

Welcome back to the farm! Nice work. Plants looking lush and vibrant. I’d stick to the 400ppm area until your plants want more. I’m in first week of flower as well and I’m around the same ppm. I’ll be following along for this one. Happy grows.

Hell yeah. I love the feedback and constructive criticism. It’s my first grow and I’m digging all the problems I’ve had and learned from, as well as, all of the knowledge here.

Sun is finally back! Looks like we will be having some perfect weather for at least the next week. Stoked. Here are a few pics that I just snapped.

The LST Runtz. It’s starting to fill out. Looks like it’ll be a monster if I can keep it vegging:

The whole lot:

Close up of the OG. Today marks day 21 of flower:

Just about 4 weeks flower for the OG:

2 weeks for the Runtz. It’s looking like the rest that are staying outside are starting to flower. Do you guys think they will re-veg over the next few weeks, or just continue to flower?

The LST Runtz has definitely started filling out:

Any input on things that I could be doing to improve? Again, it’s been a long time since my last grow, so if there is anything that comes to mind, feel free to share! Thanks guys!

Wow! I’ve never done an LST plant in 17 gallons of dirt before. I was out of town for the last couple days for work, and came home to this monster!

It trips me out how this one is still vegging strong and the rest of the outdoor are trying to bud. Is this because of pot size or what?!

And a little OG bud porn just for fun lol

a buddy of mine told me that clones will kick into flower outdoor easier than seeds. Is this true?

Looking really good over there. I would assume it has to do with the change in lighting. Assuming the clones were indoor under 18/6 then moved outdoor and are getting less light. Regardless, they are looking great.

For sure thanks man! It’s just weird because they’re clones from the same batch, and the one big sucker is the only one that keeps vegging.

Hey guys, just wondering how I would go about transplanting this sucker. I’m tempted to put it in a 50gal pot, but not sure how to get it out of the current container. Same deal as smaller pots, just with two people or what? How would you guys do it?

True that, but I just visited a buddy that I gave 2 of the same plants to, and he’s got them in a big flower bed. They’re huge! I want to try to catch up to him lol. It’s his first time growing, and I’m teaching him what I know. I’ve only done a limited amount of smaller outdoor plants before, so I kinda want to get it as big as possible
