Does anyone have a bat box? I’ve had a bat box for about a year but still have not been able to get a bat to make it home. Does anyone have any advice on how to get a bat to occupy my bat box?

If it isn't near a water source, it can take years. Be patient.

And if it has a cross on it, remove it!😅🐒

I’ve had one up for about 3 yrs now with no luck myself

I too had one up for years and i lived on a river at my old place. They never used it but they sure made a home hanging inside the garage right at the entrance to my kitchen door. Hung there every night heard them scratching on the door trying to get comfortable. Daughter would forget sometimes and swing the door wide open to go down into the garage to laundry room and they'd drop in to the kitchen/living room and just freak out the kids. Then we'd have to leave open all the outside doors so that they'd escape eventually.

I wish I could get them to hangout in my garden.

Do you sit out in your garden at night? If you have a pond that is close (¼ mile or less), I'd be shocked they aren't in your garden. Try and research to see if you have some things going on that they strongly dislike. Sounds to me like you've got ¾ of what they do like with having a water source that isn't just a fountain.

My cats garden with me, but bats would strongly dislike that.

I have two bat boxes, and I live on 100 acres with several ponds one is a 12 acre pond bats everywhere at dusk and dawn but they will not go in my boxes lol..
3 years now lol oh well they must have better places to live. I guess they’re there if they want them.

Sometimes I see some flying around. But I have never found them in my garden.
