100% agree... this claim refers to vigor and vitality. I only have a discussion so far but the idea seems to be that the plant harbors different compounds or "things" in different places. I know in tissue culture different source tissue gives different results. Why is this if the genetics are the same? I always thought environmental but this claim is more about how the plant operates physiologically. Genetic drift might be in the same category. We have genetics that are 20 years old and just removed a Snow Monster out of our lineup because it just stopped being Snow Monster... more like a Slush Ghoul now. We will regenerate it through tissue culture and the genetics will revive but why can't we get this to happen with a regular cloning process. Something is definitely afoot at the Stop-N-Go.
