So got this little thing going and both plants and box have received multiple upgrades in a short amount of time.
(Granddaddy purp, Mom's Spaghetti [bag seeds])

I don't know anything about the whole time framing thing but I started drumming them August 16th and unbleached mooji cotton...

Not sure if they're doing super good at a month and 10 days old I'm not sure where the standard is I'm forced micro growing and I've had to switch pots a couple times because of space issues so they're super super stressed we get this to say...

Just basically want to know opinions or what not...
I know they don't look as vibrant as they did a couple days ago I have more pictures if needed and can't take anymore until tomorrow ( 19:5)

I don't know enough about this mooji thing it's possible that gives people all the info they need to help but I doubt it. Need to know lighting set up, definitely watering schedule. They look to me like they have been overwatered to the point of drowning, and they are severely stunted for 40 day old plants. I'd say there's serious nutrient issues, possibly due to overwatering but possibly a separate issue. Keen to see what the experienced guys say but they'll want a lot more info on lighting and watering schedule.

I basically used organic cotton instead of a paper towel and yes stunted (forced micro) I'm forcing them to (via wire ties) stay small and bushy and as for watering they each get maybe 16 oz every 4 ish days (whenever 2.5x2 inches is dry) as for lighting I couldn't tell you some 30 watt equivalent 60 par something or whatever

Hmmm may be a bit out of my depth then, don't really know about 'forced micro'. I used topping and wire training to keep mine low but they still thrived and were vigorous. This was about day 40 for me. Those look really unwell rather than just small but definitely one for the pros. Hope you get the answers you need.

I’d say given all your issues of poor growth and mites, I would start over if time permits and use more basic growth media, nutrients, and good grow lights. In the time it takes to get things right (if that’s even possible) you could have a much better new crop that will blow away your current one. And spray the shit out of your grow area before starting a new crop.

30 / 60 watt as in like a regular light bulb? I definitely see pests of some kind as well.

Daytime shots... (Granddaddy purp I believe has thermometer on box) will get light info once I find the box.... I know it's not super fantabulous I mean it's basically just like I wanted to start a hobby cuz I was able to if these don't work out then no harm no foul except the loss of some plants but I'd have gained the knowledge for next time... Not here to argue like other people might I'm here to actually learn and kind of be proud of my grow area because it's so cool

I don't know enough about watering in soil to give you any help but basic things I notice. If you are bending the plant like that to LST you'll need to be prepared to cut the big fans off the lower side or wait till they're a bit taller. Those leaves sitting in the dirt will be causing the whole plant airflow and transpiration issues.

I'm only in first grow so can only share what I've learned but having chosen coco I wouldn't rethink that for a second. Eliminate most of your over watering risk, and able to flush good amounts of nutrients through to change the balance in the medium, thereby resolving issues much more quickly.

From your description of lights it sounds like it's just a normal bulb. They normally say you want 25w minimum up to 50w or more per square foot. Essentially depending on your grow you will be better to invest in an appropriately sized LED. I'm in a 4x4 and I have 600 true watts of Mars Hydro LEDs.

Genuinely experienced farmers on here will be able to offer more help with this grow our soil in general, bit environment is everything. I would suggest you're light on for photons and probably out of whack with watering and possibly nutrients. The waterlogged leaves look like they may have some N tox also but spitballing now. I believe you said 40 days? If you can get into coco and get a good nutrient schedule, silica helps a lot with stem strength and water drawing capacity. By 40 days you should have strong and established plant structure, if you've topped nodes should be fat and getting fatter Hope you can get some help from the farm, you've obviously got an interest in it and willing to listen and learn, that's all I've done so far and it's stood me in good stead. The guys here will get you right

This is my light and like I said I can't really tell you much about the water schedules because as stated I just do it whenever it's dry I have such a small grow area like I am literally 18" W x 11" D

Here's my build like I said I know it's not much but it's the stealthiest thing out there I could find right now that I put my own blood sweat and tears into literally at least give me the satisfaction that this is a smart concept

Had a buddy light his house on fire in a small chamber and bulbs like that. just be careful buddy! With the limited vertical in that, i would also flip sooner than later. Keep it up though! A+ on the creativity and the drive to get this far

One more random tip that I've found d from experience, sometimes they do not like the metal touching the stems. I used metal stakes the first time I did LST and after a while the place whthey were started to turn brown and almost rot... so now if I use the metal stakes, I just wrap some foam wrapped wire around so the metal doesn't touch... also metal is more likely to cut into the stems as they grow if you don't move every tie down periodically. I'd let them get a little taller then train out so that they aren't in the dirt like that. Definitely need airflow underneath.

Buy this from your local hardware. Rubber coated wire that has great strength without needing to pull tight against the plant and they can grow against it with causing injuries. Any good garden or supply store should have it. Can use it over and over too.

Yeah I was kind of thinking the same thing with the metal I was more or less shooting for cheap and efficient I guess I don't know I was like I wonder how cheap I can do this most definitely some learning curves going on cuz like I don't even think my "pots" are an adequate thing to be used I'm using those plastic storage containers like the ones we had in school with the little holes and stuff in them with a cloth bag at the very bottom and then a cloth bag on the outside and when I get home later I will most definitely take the ties off for a couple days or so to let them grow up some more and will look into getting the stuff with the rubber on the outside

So I have to thank you for the advice on getting it out the dirt I had to trim a bunch of leaves due to the no air on the ground I think I can recover this project some how not all is lost even if I net 4 gs it's still a win in my book and yes I know I might have accidentally cut off some leaves I shouldn't have but yeah if it looked bad or looked like it was going to be bad it was gone
