Oh boy, Where to begin. I’m currently staying with a friend, she had some struggling plants. I offered to help. Im on an extremely low budget so new things take time to get. I haven’t kept the best pictures or records. I will try to have daily updates from here on. Im going to post some pictures and the dates and describe the situation and hopefully we all can get caught up to where I’m am.

November 11th
Pictures 1 and 2
They have been under my care for about two weeks. I have them out of the room for haircuts and a neem oil spray because I have been battling powdery mildew from the start. So I cut off the bad leaves and spray the rest. They had started to perk up. When I first saw them they were in two grow tents with nothing but the LED flexible strip lighting that you will see hanging in the third picture. No ventilation and had already outgrew the tents. The bigger plant was in a 2x2 by 47” tall and the smaller plant was in a 16”x16” by 47”. Both plants were stretching for the light and almost touching the tops. They had 24/0 lighting but were flowering.

Picture 3
I took them out of the tents and made a room for growing. I added LED T5 tube lights, roughly 100 watts worth and then also used the LED strip light. I blacked out the window and changed the lighting to 12/12 I also replaced the soil because it was from outside possibly and mixed with natural compost possibly? I have no idea.

Pictures 4-7
I took them out of the pots and removed as much soil as I could. The root growth was underwhelming on both and the plant that looked sick had a square plastic pot upside down 5 inches from the start of the stem The bottom 8 inches of soil had nothing but a few dead/dying roots. I replaced the soil with Promix BX AGTIV reach. I also mixed in some Down to Earth bat guano. I wanted something gentle because I knew the plants were already struggling.

October 26th
Picture 8 -10
I took clones from the better looking plant. It had way too many long stretched branches. I have never cloned a flowering plant. I used these plugs in the picture and Ventana cloning gel. She had a tray for the plugs and a cover that also had a small led light. Long story short only one clone made it.

November 11
Okay back to November 11. After losing all those clones, I tried a hydroponic system The iD00. It was working well. The clones were already far into flowering, and the powdery mildew is bad. We found a seed in some 5 Alive and that sprouted roughly around November 9th. Ive been using the iD00 light to grow it and heres a Picture of the clone that made it. The clone and seed are just in the promix.

More pictures of the iD00

November 12
I started training the clone and here’s the seed

November 15
The clone and the sprout

November 17th
All of them. But with one big change. I finally upgraded my lighting and “ventilation” For $300 I bought a HLG 600R Spec and two Vivosun 6” ventilation fans. I also bought Build a Flower Top Dress. The clerk at the hydro store said it was amazing, Guess we’ll see. I followed the instructions and added it to the two flowering plants.

I repotted the clone and sprout in 35 pound cat litter containers. You’ll see the containers in other pictures, I'm guessing close to 4 gallons. I drilled holes in the bottom and added some rocks for drainage and to keep the soil from falling out. I used 3/4 Fox Farms Ocean Forest and 1/4 of the Promix. I added Bat Guano like the picture shows. The clone and seed go in the 2x2 tent and I use the light from the iD00 to keep them on 24 hour lights while the bigger plants sleep.

November 18th
I had to bend the plants because they were to close to the light and I can’t bring the light up Look how sad that one plant is she’s getting better but dang. It only gets worse for her..

The plant i was talking about. Wouldn’t let me post it on that last reply

November 20th
I think I had the seedling to close to the light or it didn’t like the bat guano. Maybe I transplanted it too soon. That grow tent was getting warm as well. I threw a picture of the clone in too.

November 23rd
The sprout is doing some weird stuff. I did resolve the heat issue in the tent by putting it in another room and leaving the zipper open. I’m happy with the clone though. At this point I think she’s responding well to the training.

November 25
Some pictures of a popcorn nugget from the good looking plant. Also somewhere around here there was a mishap with other plant and now she only has like 3 branches. Alcohol is bad I’ll just leave it at that . Also did some trimming and training to the clone and watered the sprout.

November 27th
This is the setup so far for veging the clone and sprout. I do bring them under the big light everyday for the 12 hours.

November 28th
Took all the plants out trimmed off any leaves with powdery mildew and sprayed them with a mix of half tablespoon of baking soda half teaspoon of dawn dish soap and one gallon of water. I would have used neem oil but I’m waiting for it to get delivered

We found another seed in the Five Alive that germinated today so I got her in a solo cup with just plain Promix with just a little water where I put her.

It’s clear to me the flowering plants did not like my powdery mildew solution but I don’t see any signs of it anymore. Also there are some pictures of that poor sad plant that I refuse to let go of.

I think the sprout is starting perk up and look nice and healthy. What do you all think? And what do you think caused those issues?

Im really happy with the clone she’s not flowering at all anymore and is growing fast. It’s almost like a bonsai plant. Having some trouble knowing where to trim and my actual plan for it. I wanted to make it grow in a circle almost. We’lI see. I plan to bush her out nice low, then when my two seeds are big enough to have clones im going to flower a clone from each seed and my original clone. Hopefully the seeds will be female If so im going to make one of the seeds a mother plant.

Gday mate are they getting complete dark when the lights are off cause it sort of looks like it’s revegging throwing strange 3 bladed and single bladed leaves? What light cycle are they on you have the clone and seedling in with the flowering plants?

The biggest plant has always had 3 blades ever since I found her and she was already flowering. The clone is from the biggest plant while it was flowering, I have revegetated the clone. I think that’s why she has all the single blades. I have noticed on the fresh growth 5 blades. So she’s definitely coming back. I’ll post some pictures for you here in a little bit. Thanks for stopping in!

Also yes the plants that are vegging, my clone and sprout go in the flower room for 12 hours because of the better light. Then they go in a tent for 6 more hours. So they are still on a 18/6 schedule.

I would leave the veg plants in the tent don’t need a heap of light to veg the 3 bladed leaf and 1 bladed is normally a stress response like it’s not getting full darkness anyway good luck with it mate

She’s a costly exercise this growing if ya want a decent yield of big solid buds I still run hps perfect light in the winter months and they pretty cheap and crank out big fat nugs I’m just talking about the single and 3 bladed leafs on your flowering and vegging plants it’s some sort of stress response is it fully dark on their dark cycle I’ve asked this 3 times because it’s important

Fully dark minus the little lights from the modem. It’s always had 3 blades. I figured it was caused by inadequate lighting. Same reason why I think she was flowering when I first found her. Or from being a washed up clone.
