Holy shit... that's a hefty tax. But will this even make it onto the ballot, considering what the county DA has told them?

itll be on the ballot but it doesnt really mean anything
its just a question, not actual legislation. i think they are retarded and just have no idea what to do about it
once they take their head out their asses they will set up something like oakland and sacto where they charge a very hefty tax to operate, instead of a sales tax, which actually makes the sales legit

city attorney. the county da is entirely different.

Still not as bad as whats about to happen in San Jose. They or going to reduce the number of dispensaries from the 100 there are nowto around 20-25, instill a 100,000 dollar permit to operate each year and add our own additional tax of 8%!!!!!! Eight!... on top of all that...

I will Say San Jose is a big city with just about a million people in it... The Dispensaries that can come up with the permit money, are operating efficiently and properly; Will be left to cater to those million people. So the group that makes the grade will have a massive uptake in clientele and revenue. That in theory makes up for the permit and tax. I like the idea of limiting their numbers down. To many round here were crappy ghetto ass places that popped up like weeds everywhere. What sucks is there are a number of Sweet little quaint collectives that I like having a round that will never be able to compete with the permit cost... That kinda Bums me out.

But I will say my city needs this type of thing to be in place.

To note: Anyone who has taken a business class would know just how to combat that little tax... Any guesses? ;) (lower your prices) think about it.

P.S We don't even get to vote on this tax... how do you like that. We just get it.

as a producer of medicine i dont want my prices to lower
i know this sounds greedy but i promised you i dont have a bmw or the new pair of air forces
there have been a couple rounds where that 5% would have put me in the red
on top of that, you will be able to save 5% getting it from a friend that isnt medical, or just going out of the city. Eventually driving business elsewhere

im pretty sure that this vote has no legal meaning whatsoever, they just need a vote becuase they have no idea what their constituents acutally want
Good job voting in the right people los angeles

As the producer you won't even come into play unless the dispensary try's to effect how much you would receive for meds.I.E lowering your donation. That would be dishonest as the dispensary's volume would be increased 4 to 5 fold. The massive increase in sales could even benefit venders possibly even receiving more. This is the SJ scenario of course but would relate to anything similar. Given honesty comes into play on the dispensary side.
