Beautiful.
How much nutrients do you think are in each mini rez?
Did I miss what strain you are running this round?

I wish you a beautiful and bountiful harvest.

15 - 20 gallons i would say, high being 20. I am running my g13 again, this is a test run to see how close if not all of the 10 per plant i am looking for. I used the g13 because nothing in this room is tweaked, as you already know it takes about a year/5 grows to completely dial in a brand new room.

We'll keep our fingers crossed but i have a feeling that to get 10 per plant i will have to have a light above each plant also. The plants are about 4 ft wide to 4.5 and the vertial lights on the outside of the plant are to far apart to ge good light on the main cola area, middle of the plant.

we will see but i am extremely impressed so far.

DD's with such large colas that you are producing do you have to put in place any protection so that you do not get bud rot? I have had even 14g colas rot on me and thats with keeping the humidity under 60%. Any thoughts as to how not to get the bud rot would be great.

THANKS

I have only got budrot once in my life and it was 5 years ago. There was a branch laying on the plastic on the wall and the bud rot happened right at the end. I have massive air flow in my garden so i would say that would be the main thing to take into account.

When you are saying massive air flow how massive are we talking? I have a squirrel cage fan under each of my 8 lights roughly 400 - 500 CFM as well as a 2000 CFM fan on the A/C stirring the air around. Do I need more than this? I used to run wall mount oscillating fans but ran out of space now that I'm growing trees in my room. I have a couple of 1600cfm carpet fans that I could throw in the room but I feel that there is air movement pretty much everywhere right now.

Thanks for the help,
G

If its for a mother plant then just use a 20 litre bucket. I do not suggest using dwc for mother plants unless you need 100's of cuttings. They grow way to fast and you will ultimately run into root problems down the road.

i bet if you throw in a whole bunch of LEDs in there......no heat, more lumens, barely any added power draw, more spectrums. perhaps this is something that would drastically help..

though i would love to see him throw up a 1k mh overhead instead of an hps to mix up the spectrum a bit.

SORRY DD's I'm off the thread topic I know....

It would have to be a 1k watt hortilux blue I'd say ;) I'm going to replace the 2 center 1k HPS with these bulbs next grow, so 1k hortilux blue over 600 HPS. I have been using the 400 watt Hortilux blues for a while now and I want to see what the 1k's can do. Only 80,000 lumens (from what I can remember off the top of my head) but the spectrum is amazing.

1 Hortilux Blue spectrum

2 HPS spectrum

DD's, Sorry again for replying to a post of yours over on breedbay but my account still wont work (guess Ill try for a new one).

I noticed you said that your ppm's never got over 850 during this grow, while your nutrient chart says you go up to 1500 ppm's. Is there a reason for this, other than the plants just didn't ask for the food this time? I am at 1450 ppm's with this grow and I feel that it went too high.

Thanks for the help
G

PS: Girls are looking large for 47 days, they are going to be huge at finish.

ever since i fooled around with roots excelerator in my mother plants i have not been able to get the cuts in the flowering room above 850 w/o over fertilising them. Getting same results and using less nutes.

yeah, they are going to be huge mate

As is the issue with leds, spectrum is not nearly as important as intensity. Everyone love to thro up the photosynthesis charts, but real world results do not lie. Intensity > Spectrum

Been preaching this forever, but no one believes little ole me :)

I can see what you mean with staying with the HPS, honestly I'm on the first run I have done with no MH bulbs in the room at all, and the bud's seem to be better quality than ever. I might even see a 4lber this time. :)

In your nutrient thread when you said, " ......there is so much more nute's available to the plant that you get the claw very easily, esp when your 400 ppm's less than you normally run." Are you saying there that even if one drops the ppm 400 from one's usual schedule it will still claw when adding RE to the mix?

I like the sound of getting even 3.5lbs with using less nutes. Sounds like Roots Ex. can pay for it's self in the long run.

LOST, I listened, I have never run a MH bulb in place of a 1k HPS, only in addition to the 1k HPS. I posted the charts for quick reference is all not for persuasion one way or another.
