Drinking from a Cattle Trough

All my flowers drink from a cattle trough. It's been about 15 years since I've done a grow diary here so I figured it was time to update things. Like a lot of my fellow growers here I'm getting old and my health isn't good. Ruptured disk etc...

Does it work good like that? Just keep the moisture and they're fine?

These plants were in those rocks but they were in the flood tray. But yes, that's all there is to it. Rocks around those cubes flooded every 3 hours for 30 minutes a flood

Nice technique, thought that could be sth. for me as well but I like to decrease the watering times not to increase them.
Are they getting flooded automatically?

Happy only have to water every 3-4days during flower with my peat/ vermiculite mix.(With increased roots like in next run probably 2days during late flower)
I know it could be worse...i just don't like feed them too often..e.g. in Coco 3-4 times a day. Never again. P.s. only with drips.

Automation brother. Worst case I could fill all my resv. and be gone for 10 - 12 days.

Actually, this is exactly what I'm going to do in Oct. I'm going under the knife on the 11th. Total immobility for a few days after so we will see just how long it can run. Have a couple buddies that can fill in but nobody knows what's up really.

Weekly - it hasn’t rained in a month or more, until this weekend. Outside temps are down, humidity is way up. Had to break out the de-humidifier so inside temps are high. Just a typical fall day in the yard barn

Veg2- everybody seems happy

Veg1- she’s wanting out of veg lol. Scheduled to go to flower in 7 days but she might not wait

Apple fritter - 12 days flower and the stretch should be about over. I topped her to close to flip so she didn’t quite fill the net

Tootsie x Okie- 42 days flower

This is the best it can get for me and my garden, right there in that jar

That’s a starter set for a new cannabis consumer. 82 years old and she’s beside herself in pain and discomfort. I hate when they wait this long for help but she finally asked.
60 gel caps, 2 per day
5 pre-rolled, there’s times she said she needs something now but doesn’t want to smoke regularly. Couple tokes is all she’ll need.

Weekly- saying goodbye to the 90’s at least the 10 day forecast doesn’t show any
Veg- skywalker okie, P4516 Okie and Chemdog #4 Okie. Any of them could go to flower but I’m leaning towards p4516 and close that line down
Apple fritter-19 days flower, stretch is over

Tootsie- 4 days pre flower and stretch has begun in earnest
Tootsie-50 days flower. Think I might just pull this gal

Can’t harvest until the dryer is empty so that was yesterday. Chem4xOkie- love this ole gal, she’s been the workhorse for about a year now. This grow was off compared to her history, couple of changes so there is a learning curve

Tootsie x Okie- 9 weeks (73 days) total time in chamber. I’m liking what I see so far!

There was a little discussion on how to repair split stems. My method is prop the limb up and leave it be, maybe some cloned but the more I try the more damage done. They’ll eventually harden off into this beautiful knob

Weekly- 2 days post surgery. Looking a little better today but yesterday…jeeze I really just wanted to crawl in a corner and cry. I’ve never been a fan of opioids, that’s because i never really needed them, until this week

On a brighter note, took a test drive of tootsie x Okie = thinking we might have something special
Took some clones the morning of surgery to kill some time, my mind really wasn’t into it but they seem ok
Taking P4516 x Okie for one more trip- this plant is unique: powerful hit but limited smell. I probably screwed it up drying but man she carries a punch
Tootsie x Okie day 0 flower, 11 days pre flower
Apple fritter 4 weeks flower time

Checked tootsie the morning and she was dry. Bucked her out fairly quickly and yep, there just wasn’t as much there as usual. That’s okay, I want 1.3 lbs every crop. That’s not going to happen every time, but sometimes it does.
What the lacks in weight she makes up for it punch. She’s got a mean left hook

14 days since this batch was cut. Lights are getting brighter and there’s stretch, time for the first cull. Roots are right on track
