Confused on which driver I should run for 5 cxb3590 with 166mm heatsinks. Hlg-320h-c2100 or an hlg-320h-c1400 any advice is appreciated

so you can run 6 x 3590 -36v cobs on the 320-1400 but you can only run 4 x 3590 on the 320-2100
but you can run 5 of them on the 320-1750 and they would be 63w each and i think the 166mm heatsink will be fine.as long as the pin height is around 70mm you should be good.

Yes 36v would the 1400 be better than 1750 for efficiency when you dim

Wow...thanks for making me feel dumb this morning.. building your own led lights. Amazing

well i dont like the theory of building lights to dim for eff,if you want eff use 1050ma drivers and run them full power.
if you tell us what your trying to grow plant size wise,we can help you better.i run mostly 1050 ma drivers (35w per cob) and im very happy with these setups growing plants 4 to 5 feet tall.i have some 1400ma drivers going now and those are looking great also but i cant say they will be that much better yet.if you want to use less cobs over the same area go with the 1750ma driver and if its too much you can dim later.but 1400ma seems to be the most popular driver for these cobs because you get the best of both worlds with eff and brightness/power.if your growing in a tent and scrog your plants really low all the time i would def use the 1050ma drivers for better efficiency

Sorry but didn't intend it that way I guess Yes 36v would the 1400 be better than 1750 for efficiency when you dim was a stupid question as I am a noob
