hi guys

sorry no pics, camera probs

over the last 24-36 hours approx 15 fan leaves around the bottom of my 2 power skunk developed dry dead spots ranging from a dot to a baked bean size patch, they go a dark green colour but dry and crispy, if you crumple the leaf it crumbles and leaves a hole.
as a precaution i am flushing with clean water ph5.8
im running hydro, nft with rockwool, temp 22-25C, unsure on humidity

i have no idea whats going on, any ideas please? will try n get some pics sorted!

thanks ;(

first time so dunno if these pics have worked

if so then this was a small bit on 1 of the leaves, the hole is about 3mm wide?

looks like bug damage of some sort... not the usual ones tho...(Spider Mite, WhiteFly, Thrips)

weird....

thanks for reply dr pepper, i have just noticed that the hole ih the leaf does look like a little mite, or have i smoked too much.....

iv had spidermite before, the damage seems far to big for them, plus saw no sign of insects. this leaf only had really small bits on it, i had snipped the others off earlier and got rid before i thought to take a pic! D'oh!

Any chance you splashed any of your nutes on the leaves while filling your system ? Is it just one plant in a multi-plant system ?

thanks ca, dont think so, i have 2 nft tanks, top up through hatch at end, hav 2 plants in each, on 4 week perpetual grow. its only affecting the 2 younger plants (day 21) the other 2 are a few days from chopping and seem ok, most leaves goin brown on them now anyway so hard to tell.
the spotting seems quite evenly spread accross the bottoms of both plants, doesnt seem any higher than first internodes?

spider mites don't east your leaves like that I don't think. I had the same bugs but could find out what they were. I looked in a lot of books and I couldn't find a bug that did that damage and was that small. I think the bug was white. I neemed my plant a couple times and I haven't seem them since. they were mostly on my new growth.

thanks moemoe, im pretty sure its not spidermite, had them before and can see the lil buggers under my loupe, hav seen nothing bug wise,
what is neem? have just seen another post sayin they used it but iv not heard of it?
what does it do?

thanks guys
