ok why do you keep saying silkscreens??
they’re not..
i clean them to clean off all the gunk left behind stuck to the mesh (gunk- trichomes/plant dust/material)..

Because that's all I know...... :( . I do however know what the gunk is.....I am here after all. ;)

What other material are the screens made of? I guess the size of the holes are most important, of course the screen material would need to be tight and not break or wear down easily. A little plant matter wouldn't bother me much.....5%? .....25% not so much. Of course, 0 is best. I would think that most everyone would make hash this way only........clean wax is also good but what's better than classic, well-made hash? Especially if you can grow the classic old-school strains....

well what’s better i don’t think is the question, it’s just a preference to me, i don’t smoke weed, just hash and oil, so i make both.. cleaning these screens will help make sifting easy.. and i just like to take care of my stuff and try to keep things in “new” condition.

Yeah all good......I use the vape cartridges, and the Storz & Bickel vaporizers for flower, and an occasional edible. My tolerance is nothing like it used to be. One good hit is all I need, maybe once or twice a week. Figures, now that it's pretty much legal......

i cut it out of cellophane or plastic type stuff that seems good for using that i get from just buying things, generally food related..
though i’m kinda looking around for something i can buy a roll of..
yep everything used will go to QWISO, everything frozen iso, weed etc, only a min or so shake in the freezer, as after sifting the weed is well broken up and chlorophyll can/will contaminate the oil quickly and most resin should be easily removed at this point..
sometimes do good sometimes not so good depends on the sifting extraction..

What is ISO? Can you link me an example? Is this alcohol or what?

just hand worked from sift? or hot bottle too?..
hey i should be saying making hash that resin or buds that have cured or whatever is waaay easier to use after 6 months or more and when hot bottle pressing do more than me meaning at least 3-4 times of collecting it up into a ball type piece and repressing it flat both sides before moving on to nitrile glove hand pressing..

Sorry I missed this - yep hand worked hit with a lighter and worked with fingers - I have a small jar going right now ima keep smoking some sift/full melt and save up the rest for a good long cure ! I’m alwYs too impatient.

Here’s the exact one I picked up, got it from Hobby Lobby lol. It’s 110 micron. I’ll be giving it a go here soon. Used it twice with grinder keif haha. It cleans up easy with a horse hair brush. I’ll post a pic once I get around to sifting.

Well that was a fail. Either the weed is too old or I'm doing it wrong. Maybe I didn't clean it enough... I dunno looked like 99% trichomes under the loupe. Are you supposed to re clean what's under the final screen? I have no idea what I'm doing. I was aiming to make a temple ball, but it wasn't melting so I just threw it in the puck press. Maybe I gave up too soon. I saved the material cause I wasn't overly thorough. Maybe next time I'll try with this year's weed. Used about a qp of shake and larfy bud. Got 4 grams of pucks. Fail.

If you want to hot water bottle press and get full melt you need to clean what went through the final screen and onto the table. If you just want to brick press it it isn’t necessary to clean what went on the table.

Well that's good to know lol. I was going to do that but it looked pretty clean. Not to worry, I have plenty more to process.
