It’s my first time doing a DWC
4 plants all the same strain
3 are fairly smallish and one it growing taller.. much taller
The taller one the leafs are going dry and Pale
There under led (nothing strong for now) 100w
I admit I ain’t changed the water as often as I should and I haven’t used any nutes at the moment as I’m not to sure how to calculate it

Pic of tall ones roots.. are they healthy??

I need help, diagnosis and tips

So they've had 0 nutrients from day one? Just water? What's been different about that one plant with the damaged leaves?

Did you let the roots not only not get water bit actually dry out?

Also how long is your light on, and how close to the plants? You might have a dual problem of "no food too much light", but the other ones look..... ok.

"Yellowing leaves, veins still green"

I'd like to see what others say......

0 nutes from day one
Normal I use nutes from the get go with soil or coco
But I rushed right into this one with no knowledge or research ( eager beaver) and literally no difference only sprouted first but from past experience that’s never made a difference that much and no I never let the roots dry out only when I change the water no longer that 2-5 mins but I had the trouble before the first water change. All the plants was yellowing but seams like the 3 smaller and kick it and “starting” to look better but stunted growth the light is about 10inch away from tallest plant and about 15 from rest and yeah I have a confession to make my light is on 24hr I know you can veg with 24hrs but never tried and I didn’t have a timer so I thought why not… now I’m thinking about it seems like everything I’ve tried this time round is all new techniques and probably all wrong for DWC help me quick I’m not a rookie I’m just dumb and eager and haven’t really put care and thought into this one just a project

You're solving your own problems...... ;)

Move the light higher, at least until things get better......go to 18/6. There's no rush. ;). You can even go 20/4, but that's about it. Plants really do need a certain chunk of dark time, other good things happen.

Feed them lightly, and keep the roots moist, don't let them go without water. You're doing hydroponics not soil. But, also make sure they get oxygen.

Yeah, you know what to do. It's actually the mistakes of a more experienced grower.....you're pushing and the basics became blind spots. You got this, post pics through recovery, would love to watch this one.....

* and I'm sorry, you said you haven't CHANGED the water lately......so yeah, that's just adding lack of a little air and then you'll invite other potential problems. Does your water move/get aerated?

And just to look at all the other stuff, what variety are you growing? How's your temp, humidity....? And what's your overall plan? Do you plan on getting a more powerful light at some point?

The light being to close is right however your going to need a stronger light a 100w will only make the plants produce a handful of buds, I understand budgets can hinder things however it will limit your yeild.

I do 24/7 all the time there’s no problems with it in all mediums that said there’s nothing wrong with switching to 18/6 while you dial things in and I’ve yet to see harpuna86 give out anything but good advise bar the funny jokes I’ve seen

That tall one you could tie down a bit to help with the stretching

Oh don't be silly, I've given plenty of good and bad advice.(ha!)......and top tier jokes. ;)

I disagree with the 24/7. You don't think he should feed at all...? ;)

Here's another one......if budget is an issue look for refurbished lights. They can be just as good at great prices.

Ohh, Harpuna86......my bad, I thought you meant me. I gotta meet this guy....

And thank you.... ;)

Yeah I’m going to dig in my shed for my old school dail plug timer do what I normally do 18/6

I have air stones going continuously 24/7 so water is moving and aerated
I think it’s ice cream cake not too sure off the the top of my head there NOT auto there all photoperiod temp is fine and I haven’t had chance to check my humidity I’m not a to sure but guessing the wall are bare plaster it might be rather dry in the space and yes getting ans bigger light in the next week or two and will move this one up a few inches tonight

I might scrog net it being it a small space and more for the reason now the plants are. Different heights but just dont want to add to the stress

Lol. I wasn’t focusing on the feeding I was leaving it to you guys/girls. I was only really mentioning the light being his/her main limiting factor. haha I have really bad typing if i managed to get 1/2 of the name right that’s not bad for me

Lst isn’t really stressful hence it’s name low stress training but I getcha the less stress the better at this point. All the best with the grow either way

For dwc and any hydrolike cultivation you need a pH and EC meter and should be giving nutrients in correct doses and pH ranges from the start
No wonder why they are fucked atm. ;-)
