Dwc Sunset Sherbet And Agent Orange

I was going to hold off on starting a grow thread for another week or two, until I came home today. I cant believe how much they've grown in 3 days! So here I am. Let the diary commence! Flipped on 2/19

Sunset sherbet (SS) is on the left, Agent Orange (AO) on right. Both from clone and formed 8 tops
DWC/waterfarm 5g buckets
Chiller maintains water temps at 65.5ish, waterbath style
Air temps 75-68, RH 45-60%
Technoflora nute system and Hyrdoguard. SS is at 1.2 EC (ready for more now I think), AO is at 1.4 EC
ph checked every other day
cut RO water, 25ppm-ish
beneath the honeywell fan is a germ guardian with charcoal, hepa, and uv-c light filters
carbon filter at top of tent

Lights: on left, (2) clu048-1212 80cri 3000k @ 1.2a. on right, (2) clu48-1818 90cri 3000k @1.4a
both putting out about 900ppfd

Looks like AO needs a little pruning underneath tomorrow :cool:

Day 10.
Updates to the tent. DIY light had cobs switched to match one on left, so both are 1212 3000k 80cri. I also added a single 1212 4000k 80cri in the middle (my veg light). These 5 cobs now give me 930 ppfd across the canopy.

I did a res change with 2 EC 48 hours ago, just to see what would happen. They exploded and have eaten about .15 EC each so far. I'll top off with RO only the rest of the week and do another change Sunday or Monday.
They smell incredible already, I wish I could post that!

I was off a day on my count. Today marked 14 full flower days. Now the action begins. Buds started forming about 2 days ago. Fresh nutes with first bloom mix yesterday. Sunset Sherbet stretches like a mofo! Be prepared. I need to switch the bucket positions and I'll have the right amount of clearance above.

Thanks buddy. No, I havent done much super cropping at all, just LST, topping, and defol mainly with some mainline added to this one

It looks great, I'm looking at those juicy branches, and imagining how a nice "elbow" in each one, would increase your bud sizes. It's a bit later than I prefer, but if they are still pliable I'd give a couple a good bend, for S&G's and see what it does. I'll be anxious to see the finish!

Its a sad day. Sherbet decided to whip out his nuts today. Probably explains the crazy stretch. Little bastard was in the trash 10 seconds after I snapped the pics. All good though. I have seeds arriving any day now :)

Day 21 Agent Orange
Starting to get more frost. The next 3-4 weeks will be fun as she bulks up. I'm expecting her to go 9 weeks

Day 28 Agent Orange
Next time I run one like this, I'll be sure to use a scrog net. I also should have pruned another half dozen branches earlier, but I thought I had removed enough. Lesson learned. I noticed her smell much more today, yum! Some hairs began turning bright orange as well. But this f'n ca deficiency I'm struggling to shake. I have some Orca and Great White arriving in a couple days to help ensure my roots are taken care of; currently using hydroguard only. Lastly, I made another change to the lights, I removed the 1212's and switched out the DIY unit with 1818's 3000k 90cri running 185 watts total. This cri peaks at a better spectrum than the 1212's 3000k 80cri I was using. So, now I'm only running 2 cobs and getting 850ppfd at canopy getting about 36 DLI

i do it religiously...def helps support huge buds...gotta pay yur dues in do a proper veg first tho..cropping without veg is just stunting yur plant..

To do it right yur talking talking 5-9 wk veg which i do..and hav almost every branch croppd..def every main staulk.

This is 6wk veg so far.think im flipping n 2wks..still to b determined u kno...it does pay off bit u hav to invest the time or yur just wasting yur time..sumtimes fimming is better option depending on plant stucture.

I do just bout every training...pinch n twist,fim,top(only first to get the "y" structure)knuckle,lst....u can c the screws i tie let re-coop in let loose.let them bottom branches reach and then u double cut clones(2clones per branch,2nd branch is already toppd from start)least thats my style.....

so i figured out the ca deficiency. its actually a phosphorous deficicency, sooo now that i addressed that properly i should see some improvement soon. i did a res change yesterday at 1.7ec and added more bennies with my hydroguard. also added 5 drops of orca and a dusting of great white to the bucket. she smells incredible. its actually bordering on overwhelming inside the tent

how does bending the branch increase bud size?
