With grow #3 finishing this week and grow #4 finishing in about 5 weeks or so, I’m starting my next round tonight (well, partially tonight, partially last night).

Photos:

Mandarin Cookies x Lilac Diesel

These will go in my 4x4 once my next batch is cut and dried (and will be using a different light this time).

Next up are 2 autos: Sour Apple x Mint Jelly

I’m only running 2 as these will be outdoor plants. They’re starting inside now, but starting next week I’ll be able to put them in the greenhouse during the day and then take them in at night.

They’re in 5 gallon bags this time, and I’ll be top watering them since I’ll be moving them around.

No pics of them yet.

Hell yeah!

Im hoping the autos do better outside than in my tent. While they smoked good, I was sad that I only got 3 ounces off 4 plants.

One of the sour apples has emerged!

Well, sort of. She’s pushing her way up now.

No signs of the others yet, but should be seeing them in the next few days. Depending on how nice it is after work, I may toss her in the greenhouse for a few hours.

daily update:

The auto that first started sprouting has since stopped sprouting. I attempted to rebury her and tossed a humidity dome over her, but I think she’s not going to make it.

The other auto busted through last night. She was leaning heavily and getting leggy, so I put her in the greenhouse today. She straightened up and I added some soil around her base:

The mandarin cookies x lilac diesel have all sprouted up, but are still helmet heads:

Before they could have a chance to get leggy, I put them in my vegetable tent and set up the light I was using in the 4x4. I need to adjust the schedule on it since it’s set to 12/12, but I’m only going to go 15 or 16 on and 8 or 9 off.

Nightly update:

Mandarin cookies x lilac diesel:

2 of the 4 had their helmets come off so far, with the other 2 nearly off.

The auto:

She’s doing good too. They’re all a bit leggy still, so I increased the light a little bit.

Will be giving them a light watering shortly.

Nightly update:

2 of the mandarin cookies x lilac are off to a strong start. The top left is very leggy so I may prop her up tonight then transplant into a bigger pot (and bury the stem a bit) in a few days once my 4x4 is cleared out.

The autos:

This one seems to be doing very well now. Will keep her in this tent for another week or so then bring her to the greenhouse.

The other auto:

She finally stood up by herself, though she’s still looking a bit rough. She’s now in the greenhouse on a heat mat, so if she survives the night, she’ll get some good sunlight tomorrow.

Nightly update:

Mandarin cookies x lilac diesel:

2 are doing really well, one is super leggy and one is questionable. We’ll see what tomorrow brings for her.

I’m going to put the leggy one in a solo cup in a little bit, then give them all a good watering.

Autos: (sour apple x mint jelly)

The one in the tent is doing good so far. I’m planning on moving her to the greenhouse by this weekend.

The sad looking one from yesterday?

She sprang right up to life in the greenhouse.

Nightly update:

Mandarin cookies x lilac diesel:

The front 2 are doing well, but are a bit leggy. The back left is questionable, but I’ll leave her for now. The back right is pretty much done for. It looks like when the husk popped off, it took some of the cotyledons with it, so, yeah.

Now that I’m done with my 4x4, I’m going to set up a new bar light in there, repot these leggy ladies, and move them into the big tent.

I’m also going to sow one more mandarin, just in case the third one here ends up being a dud. I want 3 or 4 plants this round (would prefer just 3, but I don’t want to risk this one not making it and then having one several further behind than necessary).

The autos (sour apple x mint jelly):

This one is in my small veggie tent, and is doing pretty well in here. Will likely bring her outside to the greenhouse for a few hours tomorrow since it’ll be overcast and she won’t cook.

This is the one that’s been living in the greenhouse. She’s a few days behind the other, but she seems to be enjoying the sunlight.

Mid day update:

Cleaned out the 4x4, put in a new light, and moved the filter and humidifier outside of the tent.

I’ll be moving the plants in here next, and possibly some other veggies/plants until it’s time to set up the bottom feeding system again.

Nightly update:

(Mandarin cookies x lilac diesel photo):

The back left is still struggling to stand up on her own - if she doesn’t get her shit together in the next day or 2, I’ll try repotting to a 5 gal grow bag.

The bottom left is starting to grow, so I’m happy about that. Bottom right is a new seed waiting to sprout.

(Sour Apple x Mint Jelly autos):

The one in the tent is doing well - she’s starting to overtake the photos in size.

The greenhouse auto is growing, albeit slower. Could be due to the colder nights (even though she’s on a heating pad), so I probably should’ve waited a little bit before putting her out here, but I was out of room inside at the time.

And since I’ve talked about it enough, here’s a shot of my greenhouse currently:

The heating pads are on a timed power strip, so they start heating at 7pm and shut off at 7am.

The lights are plugged into a Bluetooth outlet on the “always on” side of the power strip, and I have the switch inside.

I need to clean it out a little more and it’ll be a nice cozy smoke hut at night :)

Nightly update:

Auto flowers:

Tent auto is booming.

Greenhouse auto is going, just at a slower rate, likely because it’s still in the mid 50’s during the day and low 40’s at night.

It’ll be fun to observe the difference in their growth cycle.

The photos:

The one in the back on the left is still leggy and not able to hold herself up fully still. I’m going to repot her this weekend into a 5 gal grow bag and hopefully get her to strengthen up.

The bottom left is doing much better now and seems like she’ll live to see another day.

Too right is doing great, and then the seedling popped up to say hello.

And if you’re curious about the other plants in here, here’s a full shot:

Tomatoes, peppers, and celery. I already took the melons out and transplanted them outside with the rest of the garden :)

Nightly update:

Photos:

All 4 are looking good, still haven’t repotted the one needing support (been neglectful this weekend since it was nice enough to be in the outdoor garden)

Aside from that, they’re doing pretty well.

The autos:

She’s still in the tent and she’s loving life. I would’ve moved her outdoors, but it just doesn’t seem like the best time yet.

The greenhouse auto, while growing, is going slow because of the weather. Even with the heating mat, I don’t think it’s doing much good while she’s way up there.

I’ll let this one keep going, though. It’ll be interesting to see how big she’ll get or if she’ll just be a single bud flower.

Nightly update:

The photos are doing great, and the tent auto is doing awesome as well. The outside auto (no pic tonight as it’s dark out) is now out by my watermelons. It’s still a stringy little thing, but she’s grown.

The nights are starting to settle in the mid 50’s, but that’s okay. If it dips below that I’ll bring her in the greenhouse.

Nightly update:

The auto has already started flowering, and doesn’t look like she’ll be getting much bigger.

The outside auto is still growing, just much much slower.

The photos are a mix bag at the moment. I’ve been kind of neglectful to them due to work + the outdoor garden.

The smaller 2 look to either have a nitrogen or phosphorus deficiency going on. I need to repot them, which will likely be tomorrow.

The other 2 seem to be doing well.

I’ll start setting up the self watering system this weekend when I can transplant my outdoor plants into the garden. We have a night or 2 this week that’ll hit near freezing temperatures, so I can’t move these plants out until those nights pass.

Nightly update:

Auto (sour apple x mint jelly):

She’s looking a little rough but that’s because I didn’t water her until tonight. I wasn’t home last night, so…oops. Aside from that, I cut some leaves off to open up the flower sites better.

The photos (orange mandarin x lilac diesel):

I put the neon green ones into bigger pots and it seems like they’re doing better. The new growth is coming in darker, so that’s hopefully a good sign.

I haven’t added any nutrients yet, but maybe I should add something with a good amount of P? @GNick55 got any thoughts?

These 2 I did some trimming and training. I removed all 3 fingered leaves and less, removed the bottom 2 branches off each, removed some of the larger fan leaves, and bent them 90 with the training clips.

Tomorrow I’ll be transplanting some of the plants in one of the totes, and I’ll be setting up half of the bottom feed setup as well.

That’s all for now!

Nightly update:

Auto (sour apple x mint jelly):

Move her to the greenhouse tonight since I needed space in the tent. Gave her a good watering, and now she’ll get some real sunlight starting tomorrow.

The other one I still didn’t snap a pic yet (it was raining all day and she’s outside), but tomorrow I’m hoping to.

The photos (orange mandarin x lilac diesel):

I set up the bottom feeding rig, ran the wicks, and filled the reservoir (they’re sharing to conserve space and they’re on the same feeding regimen). Did some more trim and training, did a light top watering to kickstart the wicking.

These 2 are still going strong, and the new growth is greener than the rest, so I hope repotting them helped. Their roots were healthy white, so I’m thinking either they ran out of nutrients or it was bad watering habits for the last week or so.

Since it was raining, I did a little bit of cleaning and rearranging in the greenhouse:

That’s all for tonight

Before the trimming and training

After.

The 2 on the right look like they’re almost ready to be placed into their final pots. I’ll likely let these veg through June, and snip a few clones in the process.

Here’s the autos:

This is the one that was in the tent for the first few weeks. She’s doing good outside in the greenhouse - nothing much to report.

This is the one that has always been outside. She’s been stunted, that’s for sure. I honestly probably won’t even smoke this one if she does survive to harvest.

Night update:

Orange mandarin x lilac diesel photos:

No trimming or training tonight. I’m going to repot the smaller plants by Saturday afternoon. Whatever was going on with the smaller plants that made them a light green / yellowish green seems to have been resolved with the repotting.

sour apple x mint jelly auto:

It’s raining so I can’t get a pic of the outside plant, but it’s still doing it’s thing. The greenhouse one is doing well. She’s at least 2 feet tall, and seems to be doing well. I haven’t fed her any nutrients yet, but will likely start doing that soon.

I’m also going to plant the rest of the sour apple x mint jelly seeds tonight or tomorrow and then place them out here as well.

I have a portable ac unit arriving tomorrow that I’ll be putting in the greenhouse. It also has a heat functionality, so I may possibly be able to grow outdoor in the winter time, though I do use this to stash pellets, so maybe not so much. We’ll see though.
